Lack of Coffee in room
Internet not free
This is my first stay in Dream Palace and I have really enjoyed my stay. The hotel is a three star hotel. However, the hotel is pretty new and I would not mind stay again. Despite all the nice goodies in the hotel, the hotel lacked free internet and coffee in the room.
- Wireless Internet is available for a very reasonable rate DH 10 per hour.
- With regards to the Coffee, the rooms has a cattle and cups, but no tea or coffee.
Shopping Tip : Hotel very close (walking distance) to Reef Mall and Marks & Spencer and five minutes taxi ride to Deera shopping.

internet is somewhat expensive (100 dirhams for a day)
At least, this hotel provides all basic needs, and the hotel is located about 10 minutes away from metro stations (Union, Al Rigga)
They also have free shuttle to the airport and a shopping center.
In Dubai, many hotels are overpriced, and this one is not so bad.

Afordable, renovated, clean, family run business.
Excellent air conditioning, a must for the UAE climate.
Internet access timed continually from start time so you cannot log in / out as you wish.
Small rooms / bathrooms, but that is to be expected with the low price tag.
Close to Deira City shopping Centre, only a few
Dirhams by taxi, Good place to stay if you are not spoiled. Will definitelystay there again & again on my subsequent visits to Dubai.
Shopping Tip : ake a taxi to Deira City Centre and shop till you drop.

I liked the customer service, clean hotel.
Room Miscellaneous like tissue bathroom toiletries.
All i can say about my stay in Dream Palace Hotel is the place very convenient to adjacent malls, good customer service, clean room. Facilities are good to enjoy but we encounter little uncomfortability since it is under renovation. i like this hotel most especially the price is very affordable.
Shopping Tip : This hotel is very accessible to the malls like Reefmall and Al Ghurair.

Large comfortable clean rooms with good aircon, good location near excellent restaurants, walking distance to skytrain station.
Some reception staff friendly, some less so. Not allowed to check-in before the official time of 1300, even if one arrives at 1200.
Excellent stay. We were very happy with our time at the Dream Palace Hotel. Our room on the top, 7th, floor, was reasonably big with a comfortable bed, writing desk, flat screen TV, fridge, excellent aircon, good bathroom and shower, very clean, and good views of the street and mosque in front and across Dubai to the new Burj Dubai, the world's tallest building. Views from rooms at the back of the hotel were apparently less inspiring! The rooms seem to have been recently refurbished as they looked in excellent condition and importantly as the hotel was right under the flightpath to the nearby airport, well soundproofed. If the heavy curtains were left open one could hear some traffic noise but once closed it was very quiet. The only sound that seemed to penetrate was the early morning call to prayer from the mosque.
The public areas of the hotel were fine but nothing special being very functional, though clean. We didn't try any of the food in the hotel but they had an Asian restaurant on the Mezzanine floor which looked OK. However, there were 2 excellent large restaurants right opposite the hotel, one Iraqi and one Syrian, where the food was brilliant, especially the Syrian restaurant. Reception staff at the hotel were OK, especially the ladies who were quite helpful, though the man on day duty seemed rather arrogant and was not helpful.
Hotel location is pretty good in the Deira part of Dubai. Some people told us that this was the seedy part of town, well if this is seedy, give us more. We always felt extremely safe, and indeed Dubai is one of the safest cities in the world, any part of it being far safer than most European or US cities. The hotel is less than 10 minutes drive from the airport, about 20 minutes from the cruise ship terminal at Port Rashid. Although less opulent than some parts of town, Deira has many shopping malls (plus a Debenhams and a Marks & Spencer right round the corner from the hotel) and many of Dubai's best (food quality rather than déc
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The new skytrain system is an excellent addition to Dubai with very clean fast trains. The first, red line, was only opened on September 9th 2009 and only some of the stations are ready but most of the remaining ones look like they will be ready to open over the next few months. Tickets are very cheap.

Very good service and nice people working there. Comfortable room, bed and bathroom.
A bit away from anything. It takes an effort to go anywhere interesting.
The Dream Palace is an excellent budget priced hotel. You get accomodations that are equal to more expensive hotels, with the only drawback being a not so convenient location. It is near the airport, so perfect for those transiting for a short time in the city.

Very Clean, Inexpensive, Friendly staff, close to resturants/shopping
Jacuzzi on the roof was out of order.
Only spend one night at the Dream Palace after hearing good comments from my co-workers. So far I could not think of a better place to stay in Dubai when one considers price and the cleaniness and such of the hotel. They even let me use the internet for free in the lobby! (Imagine that in Dubai). Older hotel but updated very, very nicely. Small pool and jacuzzi on the roof with some lounge chairs. I could not see someone disapointed by staying here. I would definitly stay again...and for $40 per night.
Shopping Tip : Reef Mall about 150 meters behind the hotel with a food court.

Room was very nicely decorated and bed was very comfortable. Was upgraded to a double room so had a queen size bed. Definitely nice for the money.
Waited almost an hour at reception after arriving at 5 am -- the receptionist kept telling me just a few minutes more. No one left while I was in the lobby -- so why the delay? The travel person on duty was not the most helpful -- she seemed disinterested. No instructions on how to log off from purchased wireless time so once you shut down, you lost the remainder of your time.
This is a good place to stay on the cheap in Dubai. It's pretty close to the Dubai Creek and to some malls (city centre, specifically). I was just there on a stopover from Sydney to Cape Town -- close to the airport, so that's good. Not luxurious, but a solid choice.
Restaurant Tip : If there during Ramadan like me, make sure you stock up on some food at the supermarket because restaurants are all closed during the day.

Near to the shopping centers, such as, Reef Mall and Al Ghurair City.
high internet charge (compared with other hotels, so far I know) is relatively higher, particularly, for 24 hours usage.
The internet charge per hour is Dirhams10.- and per day is Dirhams90.- respectively. The charge, particularly, for 24 hours usage, seems to be higher compared with that of other hotels. If your booking doesn't include the breakfast and you want to eat outside, the only choice will be McDonald at Al Ghurair City and it may take about slightly less than 10 minutes walk. There may be some small Indian style coffee shop nearby, but, I could not manage to find out. My package doesn't include the breakfast and I checked the menu of the breakfast (I didn't eat, though) to find that they are poor (I should say that the quality and variety of the breakfast of the same level of hotels in Deira will be equally poor).
Hotel Feature Tip : It is recommended to request to put you at higher floor (this time, I could get the room at higher floor and corner room, so, enjoy nice view, even from the bath room) and try to avoid rooms at 1st floor, facing to the main road, as the windows of the rooms are not big and you may feel stuffy.
