We had 2 nights at Flora Grand during May and would happily return anytime and recommend it thoroughly. We arrived much earlier than the scheduled check in time however they were able to allocate us a room within 30 minutes plus it was an upgrade. The room was clean and comfortable and the bed was a huge king size. All the staff were very friendly, making us feel very special indeed. The tour desk booked us a Dhow Dinner Cruise which was superb and a fantastic Desert Safari. It is a short walk to the Metro station to get to Deira City Centre or anywhere else, with plenty of restaurants and other shops nearby. A supermarket in only 50 metres away if you feel like a local snack, but do try the coffee and cake cafe in the hotel. They have regular shuttles to the Airport and Shopping locations. This hotel was beyond my expectation. Their service, staff performance, standard of the room were as good as any multinational star hotel.
I will not think twice to recommend this hotel to any business traveler or to any close family

Good stay, just with small surprises: no indication at the site about non-included breakfast; not full description of the terms of stay: despite indication of refundable payment, one night is non-refundable. This is normal, but needs to me mentioned in the description.
Limited possibilities free Internet. In order to get full potential, you have to pay not cheap fee.

We had arrived very early for check in in the morning due to flight landing at 6am, it is understandable that they charge us approx USD50 for half day so we can get to our room early, however the reception staff do not communicate with us very well and we were sitting there at the lobby area without knowing what we were waiting for.
The room is of decent size, bathroom is ok too, but you can't expect too much, and its definitely NOT luxury hotel or anything. You can tell that area of Dubai is not that well developed. It is very close to airport though, with taxi it charge around $20~30 Dirhams. Very easy to get to metro too.
