located in a very strategic area and very close to malls the best thin about it, the look of the high rise building .....see and desert in the same time....although the weather is hot in dubai during the summer but the cooling system is very sufficient even in the car parking floor there is air conditioners

the hotel is on the main arterial road, sheikh zayed road in dubai. dubai metro is at the door step of the hotel. the rooms of the hotel and the ambience was very good. the restaurant could be better, but as any traveller would do, one would always explore and eat at a place that sounds interesting.

Chose the hotel since it was so close to the Dubai Metro. This proved to have been a smart choice as the metro is great; cheap, efficient and reliable.
The bathroom was small but well equipped and had soaps and shower gels, etc. Nice roomy bath tub so all in all, pretty good.
The gym and pool on 6th floor were very good. The restaurant on 1st floor was ok. I had a mixed grill and some local salads and though not great value for money it was fine. The second night I walked 150 metres to a noodle bar which was fine. Again, not great value for money but not too bad either.
WouldI stay here again, yes. I'd bring a few essentials but its convenience and reasonable value for money worked out for me.
Shopping Tip:
A few stops from the Mall of the Emirates and a few more from the Dubai Mall. Well worth it as the metro station is on the doorstep and the metro is so cheap.

after i checked in, i went to the food court. surprised, so many kind of food. i like very much the food court concept. so i ordered an indian food. again, surprised, i was lucky enough to have such good indian food.
the room has very high quality. it is apparent.

This hotel located in quiete place but near Metro station, it is not very nice hotel as it worth price of room rate.
it is not completed front gate and not many taxi driver know. The room is not comfortable.
No tooth paste,
Kitchen is do not have bowl,
the iron and table very old.
I will not come back again.

Grand Midwest seemed pretty new and clean. The lobby is facing the main road but we mainly used back entrance to get in.
It's walking distance from the station in media city. You can easily catch a cab. I would say location was the best feature of the hotel.
Just one thing.. many of the taxi drivers didn't know abut the hotel. We had to bring the map every where we went.
