fantastic luxurious hotel

we stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. the apartment was huge with a beautiful lounge and amazing views from big windows. the bedrooms were great with very comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. the down part of this hotel is that though it is serviced they do not touch your dishes and they will not even wipe the kitchen tops or floor. so the housekeeoing was poor. things under the dining table will stay there for days without being picked.

The hotel beds are very uncomfortable, I slept on the floor the first night as we arrived late and pillows on the floor were a better option than their hard beds. The next night they put an extra doona on top of the mattress to sleep on, only marginally better, they said that all the beds were the same.

Great hotel but ridiculous wifi cost

We stayed here for 4 nights. The location is great with the train line being right outside the door. The taxi from the airport cost around 80 dirhams ($20). The staff are friendly & we enjoyed the breakfast & lunch buffets. The room was quite spacious with a decent sized kitchen & TV. There is also a good sized gym & pool area where you can see the Burj Al Arab in the distance. Only shame is that wifi cost 100 dirhams ($26) per day or 300 dirhams ($78) per week. You may as well pay 3 dirhams (78c) to hop on the train & connect to the free wifi at the mall. Kind of ironic seeing as the hotel is located in Internet city. We booked a couple of day tours through the desk in the lobby. After we paid we noticed that the same tours by the same company were advertised for 50 dirhams cheaper each in the metro map we got from the hotel lobby. When we asked about it the booking agent told us that the brochures were old which sounds a bit suss. As we didn't have Internet we couldn't look into it, so I recommend probably searching around. We ended up paying 250 dirhams for the Abu Dhabi day tour & 175 for the Desert Safari.

Fine clean hotel close to metro

we did stay in this hotel for a week and we really enjoyed it. we had a spacious room with balcony and a separate bedroom, a kitchen and two bathrooms. you better ask for a beachview room beacause the other side is facing the big highway. friendly staff.

Good location but be cautious on some aspects

I stayed there for 1 night only. They allowed me early check-in at 11:30 without extra charge (improvement). The pedestrian footpath in front of the hotel is still sandy and so dusts arise when there are winds.
The staff are polite, but one aspect be careful that when I left the hotel for the cruise port, one of the staff approached us for a taxi, and said the taxi is charged as per the meter. The outcome was that the taxi was actually a private car with a taxi meter (I think illegal meter) installed. The meter of course was much faster than normal, I think approx. double the normal fee. I strongly warned the driver to return to the hotel and he did.
The hotel should keep an eye on their staff about their behavior with the illegal taxi running.

Worst service in UAE:
1. Asked for non-smoking room, given smoking room;
2. Breakfast ordered, did not arrive;
3. No hand towels in bathroom;
4. No kettle,mugs and tea/coffee in room - this was supposed to be standard - had to request above items, it took them over an hour and a half to finally deliver said items (and this was not during their busy time either;
5. When requesting foreign exchange, person at front desk was arrogant and dismissive.
Hotel Feature Tip:
there seems to be a problem in this area with mobile connections, both DU and Etisalat

Unfortunately the studio rooms are obviously all located (staff advised me so) on the road-side which is very very noisy. As not used to noise at night it was very disturbing 24 hours a day. Hotel management did not respond to any of my several requests to relocate me to another room. Housekeeping quite poor: every day something was not done, every other day one of the towels was missing, complimentary water was not stocked up every day, cleaning was quite poor. Is very unfortunate as the hotel itself is not bad at all due to room-sizes and location near metro station. Bathroom very small but for a solo traveler it was fine. Watching television from the bed is hardly possible as the remote control would not work in such angle. Television is mounted in middle of the room. If you are disturbed by noise from the street I do not recommend the studio rooms of this hotel.
