Worst service in UAE:
1. Asked for non-smoking room, given smoking room;
2. Breakfast ordered, did not arrive;
3. No hand towels in bathroom;
4. No kettle,mugs and tea/coffee in room - this was supposed to be standard - had to request above items, it took them over an hour and a half to finally deliver said items (and this was not during their busy time either;
5. When requesting foreign exchange, person at front desk was arrogant and dismissive.
Hotel Feature Tip:
there seems to be a problem in this area with mobile connections, both DU and Etisalat

good location em mall nearby sea as well dubai palm close by quite hotel fast chkin and chkout they upgrade me with out asking taxi are available all the time sitting area is big with good staff as well as the kitchen bed room and bath room are good

the rooms are very spacious and very clean very well located close to the metro line

please inform guests about any filming that might happen in the hotel such as with our stay it severely affected the breakfast and the wait for food was to long

all around great place to stay

the hotel is in a great location and within walking distance to metro stop (two metro stops away from mall of the emirates, a few more from dubai mall/burj khalifa). jbr/marina are a short taxi ride away, as is atlantis hotel and water park. many sights of interest can be reached with a < $6 taxi ride. bur dubai and deira, the old parts of town, are a bit farther away (20 minutes by car) and cost ~$15 by taxi.
the hotel is well appointed with modern furnishings and is exceptionally clean. the kitchenette adds to the overall convenience of the room, since it is stocked with dishes, pots, pans, microwave, refrigerator, and freezer. having the kitchen was great since we visited during ramadan, and would also be good for traveling families.
you can also connect to the internet using the tv in the room, which was cool, but internet charges do apply.
the breakfast at the hotel was nothing special and a bit pricey for what it was. recommend skipping the breakfast.

I had a lovely time staying in Dubai.I enjoyed staying at the Grand Midwest Tower. It was very nice, and was in a good location with easy access for getting around Dubai. I found the staff at the hotel very helpful and friendly, and hope to return soon.

Grand Midwest seemed pretty new and clean. The lobby is facing the main road but we mainly used back entrance to get in.
It's walking distance from the station in media city. You can easily catch a cab. I would say location was the best feature of the hotel.
Just one thing.. many of the taxi drivers didn't know abut the hotel. We had to bring the map every where we went.

Overall I like the Hotel, its very peaceful and i would recommend it for any family, friends etc,the Rooms are superb but the b bathroom's are a bit small, overall I rate it 8/10
