1st stay at the Meridian was a marvelous- in room check-in, welcome glass of wine,& wonderful bath w/ great spa products. I wanted to recapture that experience & never got a very good explanation of why the Royal Club room was in reality- not that royal- small tub & no spa goodies. Initially I was offered juice- asked if wine was included- yes- okay- seemed everything was conditional & if I didn't know what perks were available- I would not have gotten them. While staff was very professional a& gladly provided what I asked for- felt things were being held back. Each time you opened the mini bar- it automatically charged you- even though you took nothing. Although the room had already been charged, when I checked in I was asked for a deposit. Even gratis things involved signing a receipt that I was assured wouldn't be charged. Why the complexity? Breakfast quality & selection has gone down & the Seafood buffet was disappointing- not that good and not a lot of variety. Also not keen on the dead mossies in the bath. All in all I doubt I would ever go back.

This was a short overnight stay, so didn't use the pool or many other facilities on this stay. Have stayed here a few times before and despite the closeness to the airport, there is very little aircraft noise when relaxing around the pool. Staff are helpful and reasonably efficient, although there can be some delays at check-out in the morning, so I would allow an extra 10-15 minutes if you are on a tight schedule. Hotel shuttle is expensive - it's less than half the price if you take a taxi. Although the hotel is right across the road from the airport, it's not easy to walk it, so take a cab.

Le Meridien Airport Hotel Review

We stayed at Le Meridien for a 3 night stopover following following a holiday in Singapore and Thailand, we knew we would not be going far hence were happy with staying at the airport hotel. We booked club lounge and this was excellent value with Breakfast, airport transfers, free alcohol at lunch and for a couple of hours in the evening plus free afternoon tea included in the price. The staff were very attentive to your needs and nothing seemed to much trouble. We ate in the Dubliners, the Italian and the Indian and all the food was excellent. My only negative comment would be on the room standard, nice large rooms, clean, but I feel in the need of a re-furb as they are starting to look a bit tired, bathroom however was lovely
