Wonderful n Lovely Hotel

the hotel definitely meet our expectation as we picked this hotel because of the reputation, even though we came to see the art dubai and could've stayed at the jumeirah area. the room was clean and very friendly staff who's willing to take the time to have a small chit chat about where to go in dubai. the only thing that the hotel could improve is the transportation, as the van they sent to pick us us from the airport definitely didn't meet our expectation as the shangri-la standard. other than that everything was great.

1 person not two despite me giving you 2 arrival flight numbers
from uk and bangkok.
i checked later on your sure and there is no
opportunity to select number of persons in room which
is very bad

Excellent Business Hotel
Very consistent high grade of service from all the hotel staff. This is rarely the case with other 5 star hotels I've stayed in. Excellent nightclub, SPA and restaurants. Highly recommended.

Can't say enough about the excellent service across the board from housekeeping, to front desk to restaurant staff. Kudos to the management.
Nightlife Tip:
Catch a short cab ride to Souk Madinat for day long fun.

it is located in the financial area on sheikh zayed road. about 250m walk to the metro station. nice pool area and for the horizon floor there is a smaller indoor one as well. basically a functional hotel. it is not luxurious like the others in the chain that i have stayed at.the carpets in the passageway were badly marked by water stains and the food offering on the horizon floor , outside of breakfast, was parsimonious. also i thought the free drinks were watered down.
Shopping Tip:
DO NOT MISS tha Dubai Mall. It is fantastic in every way and worth coming to Dubai just for that!!!

we were very happy with the majority of our stay. the hotel looks great, on arrival we were able to get an early check in and staff were very helpful. the horizon club is very good with light lunch between 1pm and 5pm and drinks between 6pm and 8pm included in the cost. we ate in the hotel twice and enjoyed both meals. overall a very good hotel with nice helpful staff.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
High tea at the top of the burj Kalifa is a must and better value than just paying to go to the viewing platform

i will stay in this hotel again for my next visit to dubai because this hotel is really nice with nice staff, near with big mall.
i spent almost 7 hours in the mall. dubai is a heaven for shopper.
must visit place in the middle east.

I've stayed 2 nights in the Shangri La Hotel, my stay was very nice, i loved to stay near by the pool, having drinks at the bar and enjoying the Jacuzzi. The location is perfect to join the Dubai mall only one metro station or the airport 15min by cab. Many shops and restaurants are near by the hotel. The service is perfect and the Deluxe room very attractive. I really advice this hotel for a short stay in Dubai
