Nice hotel but not luxurious

In general I like my staying at sheraton JBR and it was a good Experience to me for discovery another hotels since I am always staying at Hilton.

Not a 5 star by my standards
Private beach, near to Jumeirah Walk and Dubai Marina

Always ask for sea view room with balcony, don't take any other room or you will be disappointed.
Had to change room after first night because the room had no balcony, you cannot open windows and the A/C was smelling very bad as was the bathroom ( URINE STINK ). We got a room with balcony next day but the smell of urine was there too so we kept the balcony door open at all times, A/C was smelling bad in this room too. When booking and confirming the payment the hotel will charge you in EURO or Dollars without mentioning that they have special exchange rates in my case 4.25 AED for 1 EURO where the usual rates are somewhere around 4.6 or even 4.7 (on 28th of November 2012).
Alley cats and birds all over the pool and outdoor dining area, not very pleasant...
Pool gets no sun after 14:00 ( a building behind the hotel is blocking it), very noisy construction area environment.
Food was very good, service too, friendly staff, trying to make the best out of this hotel that was once worth 5 stars I'm sure.
Conclusion - for the price they are asking ( 1400 to 1850 AED per night ) I would NOT choose this hotel again.
Travel tip:
Always ask for sea view room with balcony or you might spend your holiday looking at a noisy construction site
