we reached the hotel at late evening, there were no one to receive us. not even a bellboy. we checked in at the hotel and carried our luggage our self to the room. no one guided us or carried our luggage. room service took more than 30 minutes to serve the food and by the time the food reached it was cold. very bad breakfast buffet. kitchen looks dirty. the only thing that would satisfy you is the pricing other than that its not a good hotel to stay as it doesn't provide you any comfort.

Good hotel in a great location.

The hotel is conveniently located in Bur Dubai and a short 10 minute walk from Burjuman Mall. The room was of a decent size and the service was good. There is a sister hotel called Winchester Deluxe which is also based in Bur Dubai which can lead to some confusion. Overall a very good hotel which is excellent value for money.

This was nice experience and much better as we had expected. I had stayed there for Dubai Holidays. The overall tour was fabulous and everything was fine including pickup to departure. We've stayed in the deluxe rooms and it was well furnished. The room had a king size beds, and the bathrooms are by most standards massive. Some also have a nice balcony, The hotel staffs are very friendly and curtious. In one sentence, the hotel is nice with plenty of do and sees. You are on the corner and could always get a Taxi and for shopping there was a Spinneys located near the hotel.

Good hotel, clean but a bit old.

I stayed in Winchester Grand over New Year and largely for budget consideration as the hotel rates went crazy around the time. As a budget hotel this is a very good choice, the rooms are spacious and clean and a small pantry comes included. It's also in the heart of Bur Dubai which is a good area for those who know their ways around, for everyone else it tends to be a bit confusing and doesn't rate among the posh areas of Dubai.
That being said, the property is old and my room needed some fresh air when I entered. My guess is the smell came from a cleaning agent, so I guess it could have been worse.
The bottom line is, it's a good place if you're on a budget, it isn't as posh as Dubai's reputation but somewhat in it's heart all the same
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Walk down to the Creek, which is about a 20 minute walk if you're good on foot, and take a boat over to Deira. It's a long shot from the posh malls but the creek itself as well as the spice and gold souks are well worth seeing. There's also a cultural centre and an old Fort/Museum on the Bur Dubai side for those culturally more invested then me.

we booked this hotel, as it was saying deluxe, but when we reached there, it says standard, so not near deluxe at all, rooms very small, old 14" tv, 1 sofabed which was broken, no service on their free wifi in the lobby, had to wait several hours for getting connected.very very poor service, not near 4 star, will give it 1 star, will not reccommend this hotel to anyone, have stayed in dubai for 3 years , stayed in many many hotels, but this one was lowest, as it was classified as 4 star.

definately we will go back ,our stay was nice.driver of the mini van shuttle service was super .great location , very quite hotel.apartment was very nice ,ronni is a big asset for hotel .free internet in the lobby was great .we feel like our second home .small and big grocery stores were very close .again we are very eager to go back to this hotel .every things were super.
