clean room, quiet place, good stay

clean and comfortable room, easy to access to city, quiet environment
It is good stay at this hotel, breakfast is good, MRT station just nearby. The hotel room is very comfortable and clean. Only disadvantage is not near to shopping mall, have to walk out a distance or take MRT to main city area.

Nice hotel but disappointing staff

Location, new, quiet environment
My family and I stayed here for 2 nights in end Sep. Hotel was great except for the very unhelpful staff at reception when we check in. Left an unpleasant taste to an otherwise wonderful stay. A pity. We wont be back. Sorry.,

Could be better - facilities poor or missing

Minyoun Central Hotel is a perfectly pleasant hotel, but it is not 5* by any stretch of the imagination. The facilities that they state they have i.e. business centre and boutique, don't exist. Our mini-bar was not restocked during our stay. There is no gym, which I would expect in a 5* hotel, and there is also no bar. The food in the all day dining restaurant is ok, but the breakfast is stone cold because people leave the trays open and the staff don't bother to close them. The hotel staff speak very limited English, but this is no different to anywhere else in China - although my observation is that staff in other 5* hotels have good English. On the positive, this hotel is in a good location and is clean, but that's really about it. Definitely not a 5* hotel by international standards

terrible! Nobody speaks English in this hotel and nobody tries to understand and help you. They ask you 500 Yuan as soon as you arrive. It was Friday night and we didn't have enough money so we wanted them to wait until Monday in order to change the money. They wanted the money immediately because they where afraid we got something from the fridge without paying. So we gave them all our money without the possibility to get other money until Monday because the banks where closed!!! No way to get information about what to see in Beijing because the director, told us he didn't have time to loose with our information. Moreover, they told us that the day after we had to come back within 7.oo o'clock p.m. without going out again until the day after at 6.00 o' clock p.m. due to the martial law. But things change soon in Beijing so WE COULD go out from the hotel but nobody told us, so we spent all the day closed in our room for nothing!!! the first day our room was ok but the day after they rose the floor without fixing it again so we had the bathroom in terrible conditions for all the week. Moreover, I was waiting for a very important phone called to get a job. I asked the reception if somebody called me, and they said: no. Well I received the phone called and it was urgent but nobody told me so I lost the job contract. The director said the phone called was not important as I got just a phone called!!!! Internet is not working. Nobody knows this hotel which is in a terrible position. We wanted to visit the Great Wall, they tried to sell us a tour for 1500 Yuan when they had the same tour for 900 Yuan. The day after we find the same service somewhere else for 260 Yuan. When you try to talk to them for any reason they are very disappointed and unpolite if you don't speak their Language, puffing and laughing in your face. Please, don't go there!!!!

Quality and location

Close to square, small markets and business meetings
On the first night the room was overbooked so got move to another high quality hotel. They collect me the next day and still got the breakfast. Room was really good, great bed and down pillows, good wifi and lots of desk space for working.
