extremely poorly mantained hotel

location only
The pics of the hotel and the comments of guests lured us into making booking for 3 rooms for this hotel for 2 nights. Please do not get misled by the photos of the hotel on the net since the place is very poorly mantained as nothing seems right here. Leaking flushes and taps, missing doorbolts in the washroom, dingy and stuffy rooms and what not. We had booked a suite and 2 rooms with an extra bed in one of the rooms which was not provided even on our repeated requests inspite of having paid advance rent. When this was brought to the notice of the management in Delhi they reluctingly agreed to reduce Rs700/- from the bill after a bitter conversation over phone with them. The caretaker was very gentle always tendering apologies to our complaints.

A hotel below par

Nothing except the location
my suggestion to the guests is not to get misled by the pics on the net.the rooms were dingy and stuffy with even basic amneties like bolts inside the washroom missing, leave aside the cheap cutlery which was of plastic including the glasses. food was just o.k. gr8 location but very poorly maintained hotel.

Excellent Cottage and Homely Atmosphere & Service

The Care Taker was so friendly and cooked homely food and took good care about our needs. Location wise the cottage (though bit interior than Shimla main bazzar) very nice and in calm and undisturbed place. We loved our stay at the Cottage.
agoda should provide the hotel people and customers more details and rates correctly as we got a shock when we reached mittwah cottage as they claimed that they did not have full details of our stay and about how many members etc. other than this we enjoyed a lot with the environment and very loving services in the cottage so that we felt that we are at our own home.

Fantastic place, but need more privacy!

The place was just too good. Staff members Mr.Sandeep and Mr.Bikram were awesome. They gave us perzonalized service.
The place was fantastic. However, it took us almost 2 hours to reach it from where the bus dropped us. It looked just like home. Since we traveled in the off- season, there weren't many people around. So, we were given the option of choosing our room, which we gleefully accepted. The bathrooms were clean. Room heaters were in proper working condition. Since the place was really cold( considering that 1 degree is cold), there were lots of quilts to keep us warm. Our stay lasted for 2 nights and 3 days. Breakfast was complementary and tasted awesome. Since we are completely vegetarian, we opted for Puris on the first morning, Parantha's on the next and Bread on the third. Dinner was great as well. There was lot of variety on offer. We also enjoyed a bonfire on the second night, just before our departure. Overall, it was a memorable experience. The interiors of the room were great and had a traditional feel to them. However, a bit more privacy would be required, since the upper half of the the doors are transparent. In short, a place to remember. It is also extremely economical compared to most other places. Highly recommended!
