Weekend at Movenpick
We got a free room upgrade. Though our check-in was delayed for an hour. But the staff were very apologetic and friendly.

horrible weekend
1. It took me 45 minutes to check in, that is including my assistant ls mess up in the reservation and our late lunch. 2. Your bellboy made me feel uncomfortable as he was waiting for a tip even though we already said the bags are ok --- and by the way it took our bags around 30 minutes to arrive at the room. I gave him 100 pesos by the way. 3. We were about to get up to the room and wanted to bring a beach towel upstairs to the room because my daugther was feeling cold your pool attendants didnt allow it. we had to fight our way to get a towel for my daugther. 4. We had our dinner at Ibiza and attendants werent that attentive, had to take out the food as we were getting irritated - asked for mayo for my daugther's fries the attendant said that there is no available small container for mayo -- then i said just put it with the fries. The bill came it was wrong --- i had to write down all our orders back to ensure that we get the right bill. I again followed up my mayo with a different attendant he came back with mayo and ketchup in 2 small containers. im not sure why the first attendant had to lie about the containers. 5. After our afternoon swim, our door keys wouldnt work so i went down with my daugther to get it fixed. came back up again and still wouldnt work. third time a person came with us already. My daugther and I spent 15 minutes coming up and down for this. 6. Had dinner at Sails - had to ask for drinks 2-3 times before it could be served. 7. lastly, i was trying to arrange for airport transfers for today and they couldnt give me one. I hope that when we check out i dont encounter anymore incidents like this as this really was on my top 5 list of worst weekends spent on a 5-star facility. I should have gotten the Shangrila instead as i was used to it already but we wanted to try something different and our choice paid out to our disadvantage.

Wonderful Holiday Hotel
3 of us are really enjoying our 2 nights in Mövenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu. The staff are very nice and friendly, On the 1st night we check-in to a Double Twin Room with partial of ocean view so we upgraded ourselves to 2 Bedrooms with ocean view on the 2nd night. We enjoying the daily morning breakfast although is quite crowded on weekends (luckily we went quite early to avoid the crowd), we also enjoyed ourselves in the beach and the swimming pool... We are planning to come back next year and stay in Mövenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu again.i

Inefficient Service
From the moment i checked in with my family, ive already noticed how unorganized and mismanaged their staffs were. The check in process made us and the other hotel guests wait for like 18minutes. The receptionist advised us to take a seat 1st while she's still checking in a guest, but when our turn came, she almost called the other guest who has just arrived. I must also note that two of their restaurants - Sails and Ibiza- had a very long waiting time. It took an hour before our orders finally got served. The hotel rooms and the tables in the restaurants lacked on tissue and asking for one would also make you wait. When we went on a quick stroll on the whole place, i got disappointed with how the beach area looked different from the pictures ive seen online. The beach water was clear and the sand was ok, but the whole area was too small you wouldn't have fun swimming. Also, I found the landscape design of the structures carrying the H&m logo and mini falls (on the side) not appealing. I hope the management improves their service. If only their service was good, it could have compensated the experience i had on the beach area, and i could have a pleasant stay overall.

Too expensive not worth it...
We are the couple who love to travel and this is our first time to write a negative feedback: * The toilet did not flush * No free breakfast * No free shuttle (In and Out) * Restaurant buffet is too expensive * The beach is too small * The customer service response is too slow * No enough parking space * No welcome drinks
