OK for families who don't mind a dirty beach
Nice clean room, nice pool bar, free big breakfast buffet
This hotel is perfect for people who want to travel all the way to Thailand only to never leave the hotel. They offer 3 good restaurants, a great free breakfast, fun pool bar area, beautiful rooms and nice staff. The hotel seemed to have TONS of families staying there from all over the world, so I think it would be great to bring your kids for 2-3 nights to give them the chance to meet other children from different places. The staff are very friendly and helpful in arranging tours and activities for you (which is great, because it means leaving the hotel). That said, the location sort of sucks. It is very far from Phuket town, about 50 minute drive from the airport. The beach across the street is SO dirty and had transients living in the bushes, plus in the off season you can't really swim in the water because of dangerous currents. Overall my biggest beef is with the location. The hotel itself is wonderful.

Fantastic Holiday
The best thing about this resort is its location, adjacent to the quiet Karon Beach. The lobby has a beautiful and relaxing decor and the staff is extremely friendly and responsive to your needs.
We had a relaxing and memorable holiday at the resort. The main swimming pool is a lovely place to just laze around. Pacifica restaurant serves a sumptuous breakfast everyday. Pizzas at Mint restaurant are a real treat. The market is a short distance today where one could hire bikes and cars, and also enjoy the local flavours in the roadside restaurants and bars.

Disappointing -
The garden, decor
It was below average. We had requested for king size bed but got a queen with another separate bed (although hotel was clearly empty due to low season). Bathroom was old and needs renovation. No toothbrush provided which had to be requested. Room service (Thai food) was excellent but disappointed to see none of the local delicacies at the breakfast. All together quite overpriced for what you get. Not value for money. Reconmend visitors to check out resorts at Kata where we had a fantastic stay and Pur only regret was not to have stayed there from the beginning.
