Trung T. Kumpulan Vietnam, 29 April 2013	We had a wonderful trip in Kathmandu Friendly and helpful staff, good location, good service 8 The hotel is not so new,and big. But, they did give us a wonderful time during our stay. Staffs were very helpful and friendly. They helped us to rent a motorbike,buy a simcard,give a map...When we left Kath for Pokhara, they helped us to keep our unused luggage. Gave us lots of advices. Treated us as family members and told us just to call them if there is anything happened on our way as we traveled through Nepal by bike. Great staffs! I will come back to Nepal again and I will definitely stay with them.

Pasangan United States of America, 04 April 2013	Perfect Place to Relax Before & After Your Trek Friendly staff, comfy bed, delicious breakfast 10 A friend of ours recommended staying at the Backyard Hotel because she had stayed there 2 years ago. It's still an awesome hotel, so I think that speaks to how well they take care of it over time. The staff is really, really helpful and great at English. They always offer complimentary tea, and they even set up a free cab ride to the airport for us. Speaking of free, they gave us a free upgrade to a nicer room after we completed our trek. When we arrived in Kathmandu, we didn't have a trek booked, but Backyard has a trekking agency office (Black Diamond Expeditions) in their lobby that set up the whole thing for us. Definitely take advantage of Black Diamond's services and ask for Chin as your guide. The whole trek was cheap and absolutely stress-free. The breakfast is so good. The shower has really warm weather. The bed is always freshly made and as soft as a cloud. Everything you'd need in Thamel is a minute or two walk away, which is nice because you can leave the hustle and bustle behind when you go back to the hotel.

Kumpulan United Kingdom, 01 April 2013	Central location with airport pickup Clean room,ensuite with lots of hot water,helpful staff. 8.3 The staff spoke good English and made us very welcome with tea and coffee whenever we requested it. The room was basic but clean with a good sized ensuite with plenty of hot water. A basic breakfast was included in the roof top restaurant with stunning views. Airport pickup was included and the staff arranged for us to have a car and driver for a day to do a city tour at a very reasonable price. The hotel was very centrally located in the tourist area and was very good value for money. The only drawback was that the nearby disco kept going til midnight and the local stray dogs started barking shortly afterwards. Hence we had very little sleep!

I had a copy of my hotel voucher, and got a room right away, despite it was close to midnight. Everything sorted out, and I was happy that the room and the washroom were clean.

Location is great- right in the middle of Thamel close to all the restaurants and shopping. My room was a decent size with comfortable beds. The free wifi worked great in the room, and the continental breakfast was a great way to start the morning! Overall no issues or complaints. Thanks for a great stay!

Kumpulan United Kingdom, 01 Januari 2013	In a class above the official star rating Cost, Staff & Luxury. 10 i've stayed at about 6 hotels in kathmandu and this is by far the best value for money. the hotel should be in a higher category (official star rating). it had super-luxurious beds, spotless rooms, cable television, piping hot water and great staff. i've re-booked the hotel for my last night in kathmandu before flying home.
