Pleasant, room size good, daily servicing of room, staff pleasant and helpful. Pleasant garden area to sit outside room. Sound proofing to room poor and no airport transfers as stated - stopped a few weeks before arrival.

Upgraded to larger unit free of charge. Really helpful staff who gave honest opinions about the tourist things (what are not worth the money). Very comfortable and affordable stay (we had infant with us who had plenty of crawling room). A friend who worked a few months in Cairns recommended the Balinese restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised when we found it attached to our hotel. The food at this restaurant is great (I am a foodie). I must admit we normally don't book if a unit is part of a large hotel but I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet our unit was (it was in a corner spot so I can't speak for the other units/room.
The were only about 6-8 parking spots but they were secure parking that you were provided with a pin for. Cairns is so easy to get about without a car so most spots were not used and we were able to park close to our unit. There was a share swimming pool that seemed popular but we didn't have the need for that. We were provided with 5 hrs worth of free Internet use (not wi-fi) for our 1 night stay but we didn't need that either. We certainly mad egos use of a voucher for 2 free drinks for our meals at its restaurant. Overall a very good stay.

Our stay was excellent! Arrived in cairns at 10.30am. reached hotel @ 11am and we were allowed to check in immediately! The rooms were bit smelly (may be bcoz of the heat or the chemicals used to clean the room! this is the one that needs to be looked into by the hotel!). The beds were comfortable! wish they were of queen size in all rooms! The hotel pool was excellent! kids enjoyed a lot!

We enjoyed our stay at bay village. It was a fresh clean and private room in a tropical setting. We were a little disappointed with the food at the attached Balinese restaurant - we were expecting a little more flavour and spice!

Attentive and helpful staff.
The rooms were ok -- there was a kitchen, ref, microwave and other utensils. There was a 5-hour internet provided. The restroom was spacious, and handsoaps/shampoo/conditioner/body wash/shaving cream/lotions were provided in large pump refillable containers. It would be great if there would be areas where clothes could be hung though, considering that it is a beach/resort town. We made do with the hangers provided. The pool was nice, and the restaurant also had good service.
The location was a bit of a walk to the Esplanade and Reef Terminal, probably 15-30 minute walk. The shortest route would be through the boardwalk.

Our stay at the hotel was very good in every aspect but one, very important, silence. There was no aooustic insulation in the room we stayed so there was quite a bit of noise at the late hours of the night and early morning.
