the hotel is in downtown with good location and many stores closeby. we drove mostly it was too cold to walk around. lobby is on the 15th floor of a shared building, is nice decorated as 3 stars, but room is very basic and outdated, more like 2 stars. bed is hard, front desk service is so so. the on-site restanrant was surprisingly tasty and reasonable priced for serving size; kids eat free so it was a deal for us. continental breakfast was included and selection is ok. parking charge fees, need to walk stairs outdoor parking lot.
will try other hotels next time.
Tip Restoran:
on-site restaurant ItalianAsia was very good, it was not crowed for dinner when we were there so we thought it won't be good, but pizza and meatball pasta we ordered was very tasty, not greasy and generous serving.

Good location however .....

As mentioned the location was splendid however this Holiday Inn lacked communicative skills. Firstly whilst waiting in line to check in, a couple barged straight though and queue jumped to the front. A good hotel clerk would have politely informed the couple that there were others who'd been waiting longer than they. Secondly over the the three days we spent there, soap was only dispensed upon our arrival day. Thirdly, the price of in house movies at $15 each was a little rich and finally hotel's poor communication skills came to the forefront when we were not informed of the price of the buffet breakfast. This breakfast was very average indeed. The bacon was cold and overcooked and when the waiter, who bore a striking resemblance to Manuel from Fawlty Towers, topped up my wife's lemon tea with coffee the impersonation seemed complete.
Tip:
Keep your expectations low to avoid disappointment.

Excellent location with friendly staff
Frienly staff and cleanliness.

Confortable, spacious and clean hotel with friendly staff. The hotel is close to shopping district and close to many offices. Great for business and leisure travellers.
Tip Membeli Belah:
Not far from Michigan Avenue. The hotel is value for money.

Great view but not near from Michigan Ave

romm is clean and big enough for 2 person. night view is great! direct connected with cta merchandise mart station is convenient. if you can take bus , it is a good place to enjoy night view and shopping both. but if it is difficult for you to understand bus system, you need walk about 15min to michigan ave for shopping.
they don't have a refrigerator in the room, also safety box.
however,i still recommend the hotel.

great location - right in between the north (magnificent mile) and downtown (loop) along the main river way providing fantastic views.
one of the few hotels that offer parking facilities at an affordable a day with unlimited exit/entry.
walking distance (5mins) to the ctr red line (merchandise mart) station and 20mins to practically anywhere else.
value for money as price is comparable to hotels of a lower standard.
simple and efficient service and staff though not as friendly or cheerful.
Tip Restoran:
have a 5mins walk northeast to ohio road where you can find hardrock cafe and one of the greatest pizza places - uno!

The location is excellent and wonderful because it is right at the neighbourhood of the railway university station. The view is excellent, the room is clean, the service of staff is professional.

I truly enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn Mart Plaza in Chicago. We were close to the CTA lines and for a three day (72 hours) pass the cost was only $15.00 and afforded us the opportunity to use the elevated train or bus to get around. As a result, we were able to visit and enjoy the Chicago Musuem of History, Navy Pier, the Oriental Theatre, various Frank Lloyd Wright homes, as well as his home and studio, the Unity Church in Oak Park and the Ernest Hemingway musuem and home.
Tip Penarik Perhatian/Pemandangan:
By all means, travel to Oak Park to view the Frank Lloyd Wright homes and studio, as weel as the Ernest Hemingway musuem and home.

机场出来坐地铁到Blake&Lake下车，走路不到10分钟。酒店坐落于Y字型的河流交汇处，风景极佳。从酒店到Loof区抬抬脚就到了，下城区的两条主要街道，景点走路都可以到。河边还可以坐船游览芝加哥河道。酒店大堂在15层，这个比较奇怪。有不错的餐厅和酒吧。适合商住、旅行。下次还会住这。
