Brooks R. Pelancong solo United States of America, 13 Mei 2013	3 day stay while waiting to meet a group location restaurants friendly staff 8.7 it was fine. The staff was very accommodating and location was great for getting around the city.
Di F. Pelancong solo Australia, 06 November 2012	Clean servicable hotel proximity to railway station and subway 6.7 The room was a decent size and the bathroom quite spacious. Everything worked and was clean. The staff were OK did their job but didn't go out of their way with any extra help. It was a comfortable walk with luggage from the subway and railway stations so I used these to get to and from the airport. It was also quite close to a number of the major attractions - the park and museums and not too far to walk to the Palace and the main shopping areas. The is not much in the immediate vicinity for meals so I went to the station for breakfast - a cheap alternative when breakfast is not included. Tip Ciri-ciri Hotel: You can catch the train from the airport and walk to the hotel

Had to pay for the wi-fi (6 euros until midday next day), and disappointing that only 1 device can use the wi-fi at a time!

They didn't seem to have time to tell us what to do. The door man who opened the door was more friendly then the staff! I am not sure I would stay there again because of the unfriendlyness of the staff.

Pasangan United States of America, 05 Jun 2012	Efficient but no-frills hotel strong air conditioning, proximity to metro and train station 7.3 we stayed twice at the agumar - a 4-night stay, and then one night before our flight home. the first 4 nights we had a very clean room (620) with parquet floors and two twin beds that had been pushed together to make a "double". the beds tended to move around a bit, as they slid easily on the parquet. but the parquet was nice and clean, bath was clean and somewhat updated, and the a/c worked great! the hotel was ~5 min walk to the atocha renfe metro stop and ~10 min to the train station. the aeropuerto express bus to/from the airport stops at the train station and only cost 5 euro. based on the cleanliness and convenience of the hotel, we booked the agumar again for our last night, but the room we got on our last night (305) was on a different floor and different side of the hotel. it smelled noticeably smoky in the hallway - not as strong in the room and air got better once we turned on the a/c. the room had cheap carpet, so didn't seem as clean and bright as our first room. i had requested a double, but the twin beds this time were separated by a nightstand. fortunately we were only there one night. the breakfast buffet was quite excellent - nice spread of hams, chorizo, and cheeses; hot items including fried eggs, bacon, potatoes, tortillas; breads, pastries, fruit, yogurts and cereals; juices, water, and coffee. wi-fi also worked pretty well although it's 6 euro/24 hr period and can only be used on one device at a time. hotel staff were also efficient although not very friendly. overall, a decent, efficient, no frills stay.

All of people on that hotel...was so nice and gentle. And even, they are usually kind aginst all of their guest, even simple visitors.

Location, Shower, Friendly staff 7 hotel agumar was booked last minute for a cheap weekwnd break to madrid. partly to see the sights but mainly to go and see elbow perform. we checked in just on two. i had asked when i booked for a non smoking room and a large bed as we were travelling as a couple. going up to the room we got a twin bed in a slight sad and dated room. it said the hotel has been updated, the bathroom was lovely, good shower and plenty of hot water. breakfast wasn't included, 15 euros each for breakfast each day was more than i was willing to pay and we got a bag of croisants to eat from the local shop and some fruit. that fed up for two mornings for less than the price of breakfast for one! it's a nice hotel, well located with pleasant staff. the outside it's all that much to look at and i can't believe they were that full they didn't have one room with a large bed in it! Tip Penarik Perhatian/Pemandangan: The Royal Palace is a well worth visit, give yourself plenty of time to look around as they shut each section when they close. So if you left it late to get there, you might not be able to see it all.

It was in reasonable walking distance from main rail station (10 mins). Also within 10 minutes of major art galleries and hop-on hop-off bus stop.
