Small hotel near outdoor shopping area
near shopping outdoor shopping area, about 15 minute walk to lake, across nice but pricey Flower Story Cafe

Note: the staff's English is very limited. I had to take a cab to where I was going, because it was too difficult to understand each other giving and receiving directions on how to get there by subway. If you want to get around Hanghzou, do your research before you arrive or ask a friend who speaks Mandarin to help you.

The room was small but clean. There is wifi and also cable internet connection. There is hairdryer. The bad thing was that Sunday morning they were doing renovation and it was so noisy from 6.30am on.

The staff speak no english, luckily we have interpreter. But they are willing to help. NOT King size bed, only queen size, they have no KING Size bed. Rooms are clean, air condition is cold. Bed quite comfortable. Water heater work well. Overall value for money as a budget hotel.

The hotel was a basic budget hotel with no frills. It was initially a bit hard to find as Google maps show it in a different place. It is situated in a nice pedestrian street with interesting shops,food places.Its directly opposite a cinema.Easy to book in,cash deposit required.Nice glass lift on the front of the building.Small room, no fridge,bright and modern,clean enough.Internet was very weak with PC in lobby.No lounge or seating area.Location was good amongst interesting shops and easy to walk to the lake.McDonalds only a short walk away.Railway station was an easy 15 minute walk.We stayed two nights and were happy for the price paid.

Oh and remember, to go to this hotel, taxi couldn't drop you at front of the hotel, because it is pedestrian area, so u need to walk. Consider your lugages.
