almost guests are vietnamese. they swimmed eary in the morning, corridor was filled with water. but it is vietnamese culture, i really enjoyed.

Nice beach location

The hotel is simple but clean. Food was overpriced and average at best but the location is great with lots of restaurants to choose from either along the beach or along the road. Some really good restaurants across the road. The hotel was great with airport pick up and drop off.

Great location, but not the best value

The hotel is very dated and the room was spartan, yet crowded with mostly unusable furniture. We stayed in the main hotel and not a bungalow, for three nights. We loved the Island, and the beach was great and the spa was very good. However, we stayed here as we thought it would be nice to have a pool option and I had read a lot of reviews about the great beach location. This was more money than a number of others, and I think there are better value options. It was probably over-priced for what it was. THe pool was isolated, so was very warm, and not well-used. It was also dated. The beach was much better.

A very special place by the sea
The villas were beautiful and the food was delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful.

we upgraded from a standard room to a villa near the beach. This made all the difference to our stay. The beds were very hard and uncomfortable, and the lounge chairs on the porch were uncomfortable also and not suitable for sitting in to visit or read. The Beach Bar had excellent service with OK prices and the food was yummy, although we never did get to partake beach barbecues because it never happened. I would go back to this hotel.

Near the beach, near the city

we stayed in a hotel room two floors up (no elevator) with lots of bungalows between us and the beach. we had a rather limitied seaview from the balcony.
nice restaurant with excellent seaview and ok breakfast.
wifi internet did not always work.
many of the bungalows appeared to have seaview as well.
beds were available for free at the beach.

Nice cool bungalows, private section of the beach below you.
For sunbathing and swimming, reading and relaxing.
Breakfast was just okay.
Tip Restoran:
Hai Nam restaurant is across the road and up towards town (2min walk) has an outstanding seafood bbq.
Very highly reccomended

awful, as cockroaches and ants can come into room

Nice location by the beach and near town. BUT cockroaches and ants can come into rooms due to gaps under doors. Flys on food in restaurant and nothing done about it.
One question where do all the popos go? Into the sea where people are swimming? That prbably goes for most of Vietnam.

Old school luxury on a beautiful island.
the staff is awesome and had one of best massages in se asia

we stayed here to treat ourselves to a nice resort during our trek of se asia. it was nice resort but for the money i expected a little more in terms of aesthetics. the staff made up for and the food was absolutely fantastic. the beach is nice but very narrow and chairs fill up quickly. phu quoc has a lot of beauty all over the island from the secret beaches, fishing ports, pepper plantations and the fish market.
Tip Restoran:
Make sure to eat dinner at the Fish market by the harbor.
