Expensive but good location
We found the area and the town lovely. We felt under obvservation all the time and were often chastised and reprimanded by the owner. The provisions were inadequate for the number of guests in our room e.g. fruit consisted of 2 over ripe apples, 2 soft bananas and one grape. Cottage museum was interesting but we were constantly told where to stand, not to touch, etc, like school children. Cleanliness was excellent.

It was a bit odd
History, location, quietness
The setup has the potential to be terrific, the implementation was a little odd. Frenetic contact from owner/operator although she is clearly immersed in the history of the place. Breakfast was minimal, there was little to no soap/shampoo/conditioner in the dispenser. The cottage however was clean and tidy.

Found the bed satisfactory clean and comfortable . Great hot water . Overall for us a great place for one or two nights . Would stay there again
