Great Break in the Hills
Wonderful time as a break from the busy Kathmandu. Ingrid and her staff were great.

Peace and quiet with delicious food
Set at the top of a mountain, not far out of Kathmandu - this place is a world away from the pollution, hustle and bustle. There's space to move, places to walk during the day, help if you need organising anything and really amazing meals. The traditional rooms are wonderful - I was in the smallest and enjoyed the cosiness and loft bed. There are lots of steps around that might not suit all knees but if you possibly could, I highly recommend it. It's lovely to get away from the craziness and relax with small villages and the monastery so nearby. I did a full day walk through the forest and villages and thoroughly enjoyed it.

perfect place to get to know and enjoy Nepal
We spent a long weekend at the Namo Buddha Resort. The location is great: in the middle of a forest, 25 minutes walking distance from the Namo Buddha Monastry, 1.5 hours from Dulikhel and with plenty of opportunity to do short as well as long hiking trips. The accommodation is basic, but very homely and quiet. The food is great, the staff is great and you can choose to spend time alone and mediate or socialize in the well-stocked restaurant/bar.

Amazing get away!
The view when the sky is clear is surreal. The vegetarian food was sooo delicious and fresh. Very friendly staff, ready to help.
We were 2 couples. After two days in Thamel, we needed some relaxation and some fresh air. And we got it! It was such a wonderful place to be. The staff was very eager to help and serve you quickly. Fresh food at every meal, fresh from the garden. Delicious. We had the big house and a small house and it was very clean with a superb view! some things I would like to recommend: Hair dryer with little shampoo and conditioner will be appreciated.

Well thought out style, attention to detail, food delicious
There was a nice walk along the ridgeway with stunning views towards the local monastery (30 mins walk) quite steep but worth the exertion. Loved the cottage style accommodation and shower was good and hot -importat and bed room out of this world. Would defo reccommend and come again.

Expected a lot more; overpriced
Beautiful location for a retreat, great organic food, plenty of character
It's difficult to write a bad review about this place, as there is little wrong with it, but for the price we paid (about a night) it really isn't good enough. When we arrived, late afternoon, we were given the only available room. It was right next to the communal area and had no shower; you had to walk over the other side of the resort (going past the main communal area) for a shower room which was female / male segregated and no locks on doors, so my girlfriend felt uncomfortable showering. We were woken up early by noise from outside. The owner agreed to move us immediately, but they only had a spare room the next night, so we had to wait until then, which was fair enough, but as we only stayed 2 nights it was a pain. The rooms we stayed in were small and quirky little huts on two levels. I really loved their character, but it could be annoying if you were very tall I suppose. All food was good, but you get what you are given (no menu) and so quite expensive. There is nowhere else to eat so you have to have your food at the resort. Wine is nice, but again expensive. We ended up spending for 2 nights here, and while I have no major gripes about the place, I wouldn't go back. Speaking to other guests we found out they were getting a much better deal, and had the bigger rooms too.
