this hotel was great for my wife and i.It was close to the night bazzar and worrot market which sells about anything one might want.the ac worked well and the room we had was nice sized. The t.v. worked good. The maids did a good job cleaning the room. they offerd tea and coffee and toast from 6am till 10am. the iternet cafe and it was half fast which is good for thailand
Shopping Tip: worrot market was just around the corner. and it was only a 10 min. walk to the old part of the city

New Mitrapap Hotel, Chiang Mai, Thailand

Reasonable price, quiet environment, and an enough space of the guest room
It was the first time to stay at that area in Chiang Mai. Hotel staffs were moderate, not so friendly but accepted. The location of hotel was not so bad. It was able to walk main tourist areas such as night bazaar and the Sunday walking street. Very close to a local market (Walorot?)is one good point.

This hotel is no Bargain

Nothing I can think Of.
I was very disappointed in this hotel. It was dirty the info on hotel promised a bathtub and shower in every room but my room and 2 others I sew inside had no bathtub. The writeup sounds like it is a new or newly remodeled hotel but if it was ever new it was 30 or 40 years ago. It is not close to the night market area where all the hand crafted things are on display and there are no good restaurants nearby. I would not stay here again.
Shopping Tip: Skip the shopping in Chiang Mai and go to the handicraft village located just west of Chiang Mai where U can buy everything for less than 50% of the night market prices and less than 25% of Bangkok prices.

friendly hotel

Close to wararot market walking distance to night market car parking
Booked two rooms one very good one Easy to get around from here we drove so needed a car park, think the park made it good for us. The staff were very friendly and helpful and made sure we got a free coffee and toast in the morning. Large map in foyer and help from staff made it easy to plan our days around Chiang Mai,
Travel tip: walk to warawot market. At night there is a local market that is more interesting than the night market.

new mitrapap

big spacious rooms
hotel service was ok. when we got to our rooms they were very large and the bed was very comfortable. the only downer i would say would be that the bathroom is very small (in compraison to the size of the room) and there was no actual shower area (shower head sat next to toliet) but for the price that you pay it is good and in a good location. you can book some tours at the front desk with discounts available aswell which is good.

Functional hotel

Price - very cheap, location, cleanliness
The price of the room is cheap which also includes some toast, coffee and tea at breakfast. The rooms are functional and are being cleaned everyday. Thew location is near the market where you can but foods and fruits. The night bazzar is also walking distance.
