Wonderful time, staff was very helpful, location near restaurant, supermarket and train made our time there very productive. Hotel connected to shopping area saves us much time, staff went out of their way to provide help when needed. Only draw back was no WiFi in rooms only in lobby

Basic Business Hotel

Frankly, I got better service from my budget hostel in Kyoto. But one cannot argue the accessibility as it does have its own access path from the Yamanote Line which made for very easy sightseeing around Tokyo. The internet was just dreadful. Could not access it from my mobile. But the room was well-appointed and quite comfortable.

won't be returning

close to Osaki train station

I didn't check well and got fooled by the pictures and its name. This is actually the New Otani "Inn" Tokyo. The room's interior is 20+ years old. The carpet looks dated and stained and so were the furnitures. Layers of dust on the air conditioner, which made me decide not to turn it on at all during my stay. There's no free wifi in the room, and you must pay 1000 yen per day for a LAN connection. Won't absolutely be returning and wouldn't recommend to anyone. You can find a much cleaner and better business hotel in Tokyo with this price.

good clean 3 star, no wifi in rooms

next to subway, shopping mall at ground floor, beds good
8.3
Don't confuse this with the New Otani Hotel - which is a 5 star luxury hotel located 20 minutes away. That is gorgeous, but for our purposes this hotel was better. It is above a 3 story shopping center - grocery store, hair salon, drugstore, many restaurants. If you want high-end shopping - take subway to Shibuya 10 minutes. It is connected via walkway to Osaki station - which is a manageable size but still good connections. Last time I stayed near Shinjuku station which was overwhelming. Rooms are good size for Japan, beds comfortable, very nice bathrooms. Good wifi in lobby, but in room only LAN access at $18 per day. The rate through Agoda was fantastic- less than half of anything comparable, but if you want to change anything later, they charge the full rate. Staff attentive, English skills adequate. Lots of tour groups seem to use the place - seniors and highschoolers. We'll stay here again.
