Good Location & nice staff

Good location, helpful staff, good food
The hotel has good location: 1 minute to the port (go for Koh Rong & Koh Rong Samloem), many nearby souvenir shops, restaurants, bars, travel agencies ... It's quite old and not clean at all. However, the price is acceptable.

Ideal base

Central location close to the beach, large room, helpful staff
Very pleasant stay only 200m from the beach and a clean, large room. Only drawback was the loud doof music from the beach till the wee hours of the am but didn't worry me that much

Great location right on the beach

Location, price
This is the second time I stayed at New Sea View Villa on Serendipity beach. As other reviewers have pointed out there is, in fact, no sea view, but the beach is a 30 second walk from the hotel. As to the noise from partiers that others have complained about, it didn’t bother me, but since I was there during the low season there were not many parties. I was put in a third floor roof terrace room, which was spartan but comfortable. The restaurant is well known and well frequented, although I only ate lunch there. The fruit smoothies are delicious but I was disappointed with the panini sandwich as the panini bread was hard and stale. The best of this hotel is the beach front location, price, and restaurant. Wifi was also good.

Lovely room for $10, worth more.

Staff, security, price
Good, if the place was not so nice, I would have left foranother area after one night as this beach is the most popular, and truly the most awful too.

Ok stay, probably wouldn't stay again

You definitely get what you pay for so if you're on a budget and are willing to settle for a hotel that reflects a cheap price, then the New Sea View villa is just that. The hotel itself is older, nothing spectacular. They were able to accommodate our early check in, for about 1pm, rather than 2pm. The gentlemen at the front desk were quite polite and helpful during our stay. The room itself is pretty much just a large room, with the amenities advised (beds, tv, fan, ac, small table and chairs.) The ac in our room was quite slow to cool down the room and even at its coolest temperature, it wasn't much relief. Thank god we had the fan in the room as well. The bathroom was the type where you shower over/near the toilet and had tiny little ants in it, walking up and down the walls - not a huge deal but just something to note. Our room was on the second floor, which had a pool table, table tennis, foosball and dart board. Good entertainment for those times you didn't want to be out in the sun, but even though there are signs that say to not play after 8pm, there were numerous of nights where until 11pm or midnight, you could hear people very loudly talking and playing. If sleep is something that you value dearly, this hotel might not be the best choice as I believe most or all of the rooms are facing away from the main street of its entrance, onto some smaller back streets - every night, you'll hear very loud music until about 3-4am. Not joking, if you're into top 40 American hits, you'll be able to make out all of the words of the songs - its that loud and that precise. All in all, it wasn't a terrible stay but again, you get what you pay for. When I go to Sihanoukville again, I probably wouldn't stay at this hotel again. I would either pay a few more bucks and upgrade or even find another hotel for the same price and hope for the best, since I already know what the New Sea Veiw Villa's "best" is.

Nice staff but low-life guests!!

Location to beach and restaurants
The staff were very nice, helpful and efficient. However, I stayed there during the Khmer New Year, and Sihanoukville seems to attract the worst kind of shaven headed, tattooed, drunken vermin during this time. I was there a few years ago with my wife and it was a nice, pleasant beach town. This is no reflexion on the New Sea View Villa.
