Annoying surroundings & Hotel needs renovation

Attentive staffs, Close to budget bus terminal to Ho Chi Minh, Spacious family room
The road in front of the hotel is under construction for expansion, so if you come to the hotel these days it would be very annoying with a lot of dirt. Hotel outlook looks old and apparently need renovation. The location of this hotel is not right inside foreign town, and to me this is not a typical hotel for foreigners, so don't expect locals to speak English with you in the surround area, and don't feel bothered if this hotel is full of Vietnamese guests (which is almost people from North Vietnam, at the time I stayed here) Nevertheless, the hotel staffs are very supportive with detailed information for tourists who wanna discover more about Nha Trang City, this is the only plus about this hotel, to me.

Not Great, But Not Too Bad

Rooms were clean, Price was good, Friendly Staff
i stayed in a triple standard room with 2 friends. the first thing that struck me upon entering the room was a strnge smell that i'd imagine to be damp somewhere. having said that, the room was clean, as were the bed sheets, along with the bathroom. one slight issue was the lack of a shower curtain but not the end of the world. the hotel has a lift (or elevator) which in asia seems to be a rare luxury, especially as we were on the 5th floor!!! staff were friendly but spoke little english. for the price, roughly us$5 each per night, i'd say it was good value. a side note however, laundry is fairly expensive and a small pile cost my frind just over
Nightlife Tip: "Why Not Bar" seems to be the livest place if you want a late (5amish late) drink in the area. Half decent music and no cover charge.

The receptionist will try to rip you off

good value for the price you pay, close to the beach
If a bus costs 250 000 dongs from Nha Trang to Hoi An your hotel will ask you, shamefully, 400 000 dongs, even if the bus station is 20 metres away from your hotel and you can easily check the real price. If a small water is 5000 dongs at the mini bar clearly written they will ask you 10 000. After you go back to your room to show them the real price they will still persevere and try to fool you by showing you the restaurant menu.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: If you are caucasian you must be Russian. I've been greeted at least 10 times per day in Russian and I was shown almost all the times menus in Russian. I felt at some point that I might kick somebody' s ass if he will talk to me in Russian again. I wonder why the street signs are not in Russian cause everything else is in two languages, Vietnamese and Russian. Sometimes also in English. Most of the foreigners here are Russians that come with packaged tours and, as far as I noticed, they never leave their hotel/ beach/ main boulevard perimeter. The beach is too close to the noisy road and it's pretty narrow. I don't see the reasons why someone would come here specifically for this place when there are so many better beach alternatives in Vietnam or in the neighbouring countries. Thankfully we went deep enough in the city to find that specific vietnamese street life with food stalls everywhere, with (real) people on the streets enjoying dinner at their tinny tables or playing cards with their friends.

Very noisy but clean

clean, relatively central
We stayed for one night in a standard double room on the 8th floor. Our room had no outside window but did have a very strange, large sliding opaque window into the corridor. This meant that the corridor light shone right onto our bed all night. Add to this the elevator is loud and we could hear many other guests early in the morning, very poor sleep. Staff were pleasant enough but when i explained why we were changing hotels they did not try to solve our situation. It is cheap though.

room is fine with cost

bad receptionist
the room is fine with price but the receptionist was cheated me, i booked few tours with the hotel's receptionist, when she know i wanted to go to spring sauna she requested me to buy the invitation for Spring sauna from her because she had invitation but doesn't have time to go, i agree to help her to buy those tickets from her with same selling price with spring sauna, but when i go there the ticket only half price, i come back complain with her she say sorry and will consider, i wait for her so long but she just disappear and i never see her again until i had to go to airport.

Enjoyable stay but a minus point to the service

spacious room, reasonable rate, near to beach and amenities, free wifi
We stayed in Nha Trang for 3 nights and went to Phan Thiet. Here summaries our experience with the stay in Ngoc Sang II. The stay was pretty enjoyable if not because of some mishaps. We were extremely displeased with the hotel staff attitude and service. As the hotel receptionist suggests she could help with tour booking, we let her proceed. However, we found out later that we were sort of scammed. - we book a diving tour with Vietnam Dive Centre. This is a lousy dive operator especially if you a certified diver. The dive duration was promised as 20 minute each, but the actual one was barely 10 minute each In conclusion, just do book any tour from this hotel. You can go around the area, check any other tour operator and you will find a much better rate.
Travel tip: - about 10 minute walk to Nha Trang Centre, a new and big shopping centre - a trip to Cho Dam (Dam Market), the biggest wet market in Nha Trang - just opposite the hotel lies a souvenir shop with reasonable price

ok hotel

within the city centre
Our stay was short. Which is difficult to rate. Our first impressions were: we have seen better hotels. The staff was not really welcoming. They did their jobs and that's it. Rooms smelled a little bit upon entrance. It smelled like humid bathroom. The rooms were spacious though and the locations was great.
