Hagelnieuw hotel, weg van de drukte van Patong

Wij zijn hier 5 dagen geweest met onze twee kinderen van 17 en 19. Het hotel is hagelnieuw, het zwembad is nog in aanbouw, helaas, deze is rond begin oktober klaar en wordt prachtig. Het personeel is erg behulpzaam en vriendelijk, de kamers zijn ruim, schoon en het is heerlijk dat je op je balkonnetje kan zitten. Op dit moment wordt er nog vrij veel gebouwd in de omgeving, dit kan wat geluidsoverlast geven, maar de ligging, buiten Patong stad, is voor ons perfect. Je moet even een weg oversteken om op het strand te kunnen komen, hier zijn helaas vrij veel rotsen maar als je een scooter huurt (bij het hotel zelf) ben je zo op de mooie stranden en in de drukte van Patong stad. Zelf waren we blij dat we daar niet zaten, het is erg druk, het is maar wat je zoekt. Mochten wij weer terug komen zullen wij zeker weer boeken bij Kalim Beach Place. Het ontbijt stelt helaas niet gek veel voor maar wellicht gaat dit nog komen, je merkt aan alles dat ze nog in de opstartfase zitten.

We stayed at Kalim Beach Place for few days. And it's fine if you are looking for a place for a short stay. Everything was fine! But the good beaches are far away. And yu will need a bike or taxi to get there. You can rent a bike at the Kalim place, or you can walk about 2km to Patong beach. There is a line ofsand near the Kalim Place but the road is near and it's more pleasant to sweem in the pool of the hotel.

Kalim Beach Place is a nice place to stay for a couple of days or more if you drive scooter or car. The beach near the hotel is not so far but close to the road and the beach itself is only small line of sand. So it's better to go to another beach to swim. Patong beach is noisy and about 2km distance from the Kalim Place. Other options are Karun and Kamala Beach (ext for families with children). But to get there you will need a car or bike or taxi.
Kalim Place is a great place for those who would like to stay not far but at the same time not in the middle of the crowded Patong.

This hotel is good for the price, but location is not convenient. Most tuk-tuk drivers and taxi drivers has difficulties finding the hotel. It also located far from the center of Patong beach. Not sure whether it will be safe to walk outside the hotel at night. Re-consider about it if you want to live near shopping mall and night clubs.
