Never upgrade

Near friendship bridge, easy to find, large car park
I paid for upgrade that included Jacuzzi style bathtub, but was told that was VIP. I went to Laos through the hotel ,and decided to visit Vientiane, grossly overpriced. The breakfast was very basic, even my Thai wife never used after the first time, and you had to spread butter onthe toast with a spoon. The main hotel building was under construction hence it was like a building site. The location is classed as town centre, but infact you have to drive, or use motorbike taxis.

Location. Cost. Customer service.
Hotel was nice but under reservations. Staff were good but no where in the area to organise taxi but the hotel. I feel the were expensive for transports.

Rooms, air con
Nice rooms, we stayed 2 nights and room was not cleaned or fresh towels put in for next day. We booked the Hotel recommended tour minibus into Vientine. This did not match its description. The driver gave no information about where we were been taken. Basically just a tax ride round Vientine. Not worth the money

Only thing we thought was ok was the organising the day trip to Laos
Pretty poor, the bed was the hardest I've ever slept in, the breakfast is nearly none existent , Farang food consisted of toast & cold fried eggs, my Thai familyare usually easy to please but they to thought it was poor,we put up with it for 2 days but the following 3 days we ate out, the laundry service was poor, not only on the exspencive side but you never new when you got it back, promice to bring it to the room but no had to go & find it, often the desk unmaned & no one to be found, so I'm sorry but won't be returning

There is potential if issues are addressed

near Lao border, home feeling since bungalow type
This hotel needs to be managed well. I like the bungalow and will return if we are not going to encounter the issues. 1) we had to ask for soap, shampoo, tissue and complimentary water 2) tv not working, was fixed and broken again 3) fix the toilet door 4. Shower could not be fixed on the wall. 5. Assign a receptionist who can speak or understand English. The hotel has plenty of potential and currently being renovated.

For some reason, I would stay here again

Location, price, breakfast provided
I chose the hotel based on how close it was to the Friendship Bridge. It also ended up being almost right next to a night market where I ate some great food and purchased very inexpensive but nice pants! That has nothing to do with the hotel though... I arrived at the hotel to find a friendly front desk worker who spoke almost no English and seemed ill-equipped to check me in and give me a room. Found out through my limited Thai she had only been working there 2 days. Everything was figured out eventually. I still consider the staff to be helpful but perhaps not well managed. Just prepared to have some patience. Room condition was okay. A few mosquitoes and a leaky pipe in the bathroom that sprayed water are the only negatives. Oh, and watch out for the water pressure in the shower, or you may get a surprise. Since water pressure can be an issue, one could view that as a positive. Wi-Fi speed and strength was good. Breakfast wasn't outstanding but certainly adequate. It surpassed my expectations at least, although I didn't expect much based on reviews I read. I can't really give a great reason why, but I would stay here again.
