Considered one of the best budget stays in all of Toronto, the Spartan and comfortable rooms at Alexandra Hotel are a great value. All of the units are converted studio apartments so each room comes with a small kitchen, great for whipping up some breakfast in the morning. Nearby attractions are numerous and include Kensington Market and Spadina Avenue, Chinatown, and the culinary delights at nearby Rivoli are not to be missed. If traveling on a budget, past visitors will agree that this hotel, with its great location and miniscule rates is a great find.
Children and extra beds:Extra beds are dependent on the room you choose, please check the individual room policy for more details.

Great hotel and location for price
6.7
This hotel is well equipped for short one night stays, it is close to Chinatown and also downtown. There is car parking and the hotel is fairly easy to get to, but not obvious to find as it is located at a corner of a park and school. Visitors will find the price a little high during the peak seasons but otherwise some rooms have kitchens that allow visitors to cook themselves if they are into doing that.

Nice hotel with added necessities in rooms
Quiet area and in the entertainment district
6.7
I had stayed at this hotel two other times while in Toronto. The Rooms are of average size, although some of the furniture looked aged a bit for the 70's it was very clean and tidy. extra features in the were a small refrigerator, toaster , microwave oven. The area is on the edge of a park. But in a neighborhood close to Kensington market as well as queen street near some good rock clubs, restaurants and all sorts of shops. its still within a walking distance to the CN tower and close to street cars.
Nightlife Tip:
some good clubs to check out on queen for music from Bathhurst just past Spidina, The Bovine, the Hide Out, and The legendary Horseshoe.

Good lower cost option
Affordable, cooking facilities if you want them.

We booked a stay here at the last minute after deciding to include a Toronto stop on our trip. It was a good lower budget option in a reasonably expensive city.
The room was basic but comfortable and had cooking facilities(though we didnt use them as we were only there for one night).
Was within walking distance to the main part of town but plenty of cool little bars and restaurants nearby.
We even had a view of the CN tower from our window.
A good choice if you are just after somewhere to shower and sleep and would prefer to spend your money on getting out and about.
