Clean, nice bed, roomy, nice bar area
Parking facilities---very tight! Signs to elevators in parking garage were not very informative. Staff did not know very much about downtown area.
The Metropolitan Hotel was a very nice hotel and very centrally located in Toronto, not to mention the great rate we got there. The rooms were very cozy and clean and the beds were very comfortable.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and will definitely stay there again on our next trip to Toronto!
Restaurant Tip : Went to Fazooli's Italian Grill on Adelaide St which was excellent! And The Eaton Center was within walking distance also!!!

Location, comfortable beds
We got to the hotel around 3:30 and they wouldn't let us check in until 5:45 because they said our room was not ready. Then, when we asked for a late check out they said they didn't do that because other guest would be waiting for their rooms? Huh, didn't they make us wait for ours. The front desk staff was really rude about the whole thing. I will never stay at this place again.

Baggage to room take to long
Our first night was not a good one. We were given the wrong room type and was the closet to the road so noise very bad. As we were very tired after flight did nothing until next day.
Staff very pleased to change over our room once we told them of the mistake.
Bar and food prices are very high even for Toronto standards.
Can recomend the Winsor bar and grill just off Younge st.
Restaurant Tip : Winsor bar and grill is a good place to eat and drink. Red Lobster also a good special place to go.

Upon exiting the airport, follow Hwy. 427 South to Q.E.W. East Toronto, continuing East on the Q.E.W., (Q.E.W. will turn into the Gardiner Expressway), exit onto York St. North and stay in the left hand lane. Once on York St. take the left fork at Front St. to University Ave. Continue North on University Ave. until you reach Armoury St., turn right onto Armoury St. and then left onto Chestnut St. We are located on your left at 108 Chestnut St.
Driving time from the airport to the hotel is approximately 30 minutes.
