Boutique hotel that's got it mostly right

The best reason to go to the Thompson is if you're looking for a good time on the rooftop bar. Unfortunately, the rooftop bar was closed until 8 PM for a private function, so we couldn't enjoy the sunset.
Also, this hotel has an annoying habit of letting staff use the regular elevators for deliveries instead of the service elevators - keeping guests waiting for long amounts of time.
All of that said, it's the Thompson. Great beds, a great scene, and generally good service. I would stay again, but service-wise, it's not up to the level of the Intercontinental.

Modern Hotel with a Great View
Great view from the rooftop, friendly and helpful staff, very modern

Loved the modern look of the hotel. Smack down in the middle of Toronto with great views of the city from the rooftop. Liked the pool and the bar.
The only disappointing things was that there was no breakfast included and that the heated floors in the bathroom didn't work. I know, boohoo.

Good stay
Roof patio was indeed up to it's billing. We liked the yound, hip atmosphere.

We had read some negative reviews. By and large we did not have any of those problems...no rowdy crowd late night, no excess noise in our room. Staff generally pleasant.

Stayed for 2 nights..had no problem checking in early last minute as well as it was a breeze..has a really nice rooftop bar/lounge with view of city and outdoor patio with pool surrounding inner bar..o ya and the beds were awesomeee
