I actually always stay at the Coast when I'm back in Vancouver due to its location in the West End and fact it is just a seriously nice place to stay. I also love the fact they have an arrangement with the full service Denman Fitness gym next door and you can work out there as if you were a member for free (it was my gym when I was in Van).
My only complaint is that it is starting to look a little pricey compared to other Vancouver downtown options and tends to be a bit stingy about discounting.
One other good thing. If you book through Agoda you still have access to get Aeroplan miles for your stay as well as Coast rewards. handy.
Restaurant Tip:
The Rainy City Grill just down the street from the hotel has lovely views of Enlgish Bay, fabulous sustainable and local meals and a phenomenal BC wine list. Highly recommended.

Nice hotel, but a little dated.
Great service, good food and friendly staff everywhere.

We were treated very well by housekeeping, bar staff and desk staff. We were upgraded and loved the view from the 29th floor looking over the ocean from 2 separate balconies.

Great location in a great area

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Coast Plaza. We had a very large one bedroom with a kitchenette and balcony. The room was clean and comfortable and is probably larger than many condos in Vancouver. The kitchenette was equipped with all of the basics and the room service was excellent; our room was well cleaned each day and everything was in working order.
Restaurant Tip:
There are many great restaurants and coffee shops nearby. This area of the West End still has a neighbourhood feel.

Directions
From the Vancouver Airport, cross the Arthur Lang Bridge and take the Granville Street off-ramp. Continue down Granville to 16th Avenue, turn left to Burrard Street. Turn right onto Burrard Street and continue over the Burrard Street Bridge and into downtown. Turn Left on Davie Street and proceed to the end of Davie. Turn Right on Denman Street. Take the second right onto Comox Street.
