Great location but noisy

We enjoyed the Comfort Inn's convenient location. They graciously allowed us to have our miniature dachshund stay with us. The room was nice and clean and the king size bed was lovely. The continental breakfast was very handy for us. We were reimbursed for one night because of noise. Staff were friendly and courteous.
Hotel Feature Tip:
If you are looking for great music and food look no further than the Comfort Inn Downtown Vancouver. You can party and then just travel up the elevator to your room. No drinking and driving to worry about!

Ok hotel... not fantastic, not too bad

Hotel is in a great spot, close to the main strip, close to great shopping.
We got woken up nearly every night from people in the hotel, so dont expect a good night sleep. But, I suppose for what we paid it was good.

This hotel is in a good spot to get everywhere. Nearbuy shops are great, its an easy walk down to Gas Town. Also close to walk to the Ferry & Train Terminal which will take you all over Vancouver. Easy walk to the Canucks Stadium too. Not to far from the Airport, and we easily made our way to Grouse Mountain from here too.

Clean, noisy and staff service is awful!

I stayed two nights. First night was on the first floor and well managed to go to sleep at 3am once the band stopped playing in the pub below. I had ear plugs and they do not work as the base is so strong. The room was basic but clean. I was moved the next day to the 2nd floor, could still hear the band in the pub below but it was mildly better!
A guest arrived obviously from overseas, tired and with a couple of suitcases. At the entrance are maybe 6-10 steps up to reception. Cleverly this woman refussed to stay! As I left the hotel after checking out the bellboy was standing above the stairs watching and didn't even offer to help. I think this tells you that the staff hate their job and basically don't give a toss.
Must say the rooms were clean, the breakfast was not bad but as mentioned the rooms are noisy because of the pub and the staff are about as engaging as a dead fish.
I have travelled a great deal alone and with my husband and must say the attitude of staff was probably the worst I have experienced. You would have better luck in South East Asia where you are always greated with a smile and gratitude that you are providing them with a job!

The room was very nice and clean. We checked in thursday and stayed for 2 days. There where some noise from the neighbors room (Teen boys) but after 11pm we made a complaint and it was taken very serious of the hotel staff. Thursday and friday evning and night where there live band in the Irish Pub, and that was loud at the 1 floor.
All in all was the stay OK, we got at resonable amount of sleep and the hotel was located very close to town.
The breakfast was good and it was possible to make our own fresh waffels :-)
Restaurant Tip:
Visit Vij's, it was a very good restaurant with great Indian food.
