Excellent hotel, in the heart of Vancouver CBD
clean, modern design (except for the bathtub/shower combo), great location, balcony with nice city view, most staff friendly and efficient

we stayed here for just the night between our flight from montreal and home to bangkok, and it was a great place to hibernate. the room service was excellent, the service was, mostly wonderful, and it was lovely to have a balcony to step onto enjoy the view of the city.
there were only a few minor cons:
1. bed was a little over-soft and over-stuffed, so one felt as though one was clambering out of bean bag. this seems common in north america, but strikes me as something someone with mobility issues would struggle with
2. the checkout was 12, which was great, but we did have a housekeeper knock on the door at 10:30 and ask huffily if we were checking out today, when my husband said 'yes, at twelve' she replied with a moan 'i guess i'll have to come back, then'! 3. they have a silly elevator system, wherein you use a touch screen to press which floor you want to go to, rather than an up or down button, and there are no floor buttons inside the lifts. this system did not seem to have any functionality beyond what one would get with 'up' and 'down' (it did not appear to judge whether the lift was full and so allocate another, for example), but it did have the drawback that, when the lift was too full for the caller to get on, the lift still stopped at the floors they originally requested! poor use of technology, if that is what it can be called.

overall the hotel is good. the hotel staff are very polite and good explanation of the charges when i asked them if i can park at the hotel parking. the hotel rooms seem to be newly renovated. however, only the bed matress are old. i like the hotel location which is in the central downtown. have restaurants near the hotel (within the walking distance) if not eating in the hotel.

I had pleasure time to stay at Hyatt hotel for short business trip. It is good location that I can do both business and shopping. Due to its advantaged location, I can buy gifts for my wife, children with limited time. Also, there are many restaurants near by either in shopping center or on the streets.
I also impressed with the staffs at the hotel. They provided professional and helpful services.

hotel staff very firendly and helpful, room was fantasic with extremly comfortable bed (king stardard room). startbucks in lobby great for free wifi, not happy about having to pay $35 for parking when already staying in hotel. Chinese restaurant in mall next door was beyond expectation for yum cha lunch, heavily recommended. Shower and bath in one was a disapointment for room selected, although hotel samples provided were top of the line (eg: tioletries)

We took Snowbus from Whistler to Vancouver, which stopped at the hotel. Very central location, with Burrard Skytrain Station right in front as well. Close to Robson Street, Pacific Centre, Hudson Bay, etc. Stayed in several hotels in Vancouver before, and can confidently say that the Hyatt is in an unbeatable location.
We had connecting rooms at 1211 and 1212. One of the rooms was a corner room which was very spacious. The rooms were modern and nicely refurbished. If there're good promotional rates again, we'll certainly return.
Restaurant Tip:
Just steps away from the hotel, there's a Japanese restaurant on the 2nd flr of a building on Burrard St (just past Hermes). They've an excellent CAD13.50 all-you-can-eat lunch deal. Wide selection, fresh sashimi, great ambience. Needless to say, it was packed.

Great hotel and central location
We were greeted by Byron at the regrisration with very good friendly efficient service. He walk us to the elevator where we need to take to go to our floor. I thought that was very special.

The room was very spacious with city street view. The location of the hotel is convinence being located right downtown. Good for shopping, entertainment, and close to restaurants.

when we were searching for a hotel to stay for our 40th anniversary get away,we chose the hyatt, it had great reviews & excellent location. when we arrived the staff made us feel welcome & were helpful.the hotel had all the ameneties beyond what we utilized.the room was clean & comfortable to relax in. we would definately recommend & return to the hotel on our next travels!

a little dated on the exterior.

good hotel, just the doors connecting to the units are not sound-proof at all...takes away from privacy. other than that, it was a nice and enjoyable stay close to everything.
