Fair value for money in a very expensive city

Fine for a stayed of 3 nights and as a base for getting around the city. Close to Granville Island restaurants (via ferry CAD3.75 return - 5 minute crossing).

Good location for a short visit to Vancouver city

we arrived late around 9.00pm and had trouble finding somewhere decent to eat in the immediate locality but then found a very good up market Italian restaurant in the street behind the hotel. Our room which was on the 6th floor was large and perfectly ok but there was a lot of noise from the building sites opposite and the traffic from early in the morning. Not the hotels fault - it is a city hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Take the Pink Bus tour arund vancouver city which stops outside the hotel for a quick overview of what to subsequently investigste/visit later on in your stay.

The desk staff were always willing to answer questions and give suggestions....the room was clean and very adequate. Elevators are fast, no waiting. The dining room was great with swift service both in the dining room and for room service. The entrance was spacious for being picked up in a car/taxi and walking to the hospital up on Burrard Street and the general area was very safe and offered many different choices - English Bay, Robson & Davie Streets, Sky train station, busses to Horseshoe Bay was only 5 blocks away. All in all, I found the Wuality Downtown Inn perfect for my stay.

On trolley bus route which was great for sightseeing.Slightly away from centre but easy walk to shops and rail.

buy day/two day pass on trolley bus for good overall feel for city.

Great base for walking tour of Vancouver sites

Helful attentive staffs, nice clean hotel. The room doesn't have microwavw so we called front desk to assist us. They offer to heat the food for us right away. The car parking lot below the hotel is safe and secure with card reader. Eventhough we paid $15/day,for the downtown location, it was well worth it.
