Couples Canada, September 02, 2012	Front desk staff very helpful and friendly Location was great! 6 i feel that the hotel needs some upgrades as far as carpets, bathtubs and plumbing! the windows were new but it smelled very musty and the bathtub was all chipped to the point where you feel uncomfortable using it! it was quiet and quaint but the carpets were very old and loose too! too much money for the price to pay.
Brennan E. Couples United States of America, July 30, 2012	Basic but worth the $ location, price 7.7 It's nothing special, but for the price and the location it was a very good deal. We had a room with a shared bathroom, sink in the room. The room was older, simple, but sufficient for sleeping and the few breaks we had during the day. The location was great, just a block and a half from restaurant row on Denman Street, and only a few block from Stanley Park. The staff was very nice. The shared toilets were pretty small but functional. Shower was warm and had good pressure and for a communal shower was kept quite clean. The building's a bit aged, but everything was clean and functional. In sum, it's basic, but for the price range (under $ a night in the summer) and location in the West End, it's tough to find a better deal. The only thing cheaper we found were hostels in sketchier areas of town. Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: If you're there during the summer, the hotel is a walk through the park to second beach pool, which is a great place to cool off.

Nice location if you want to be close to English Bay and Stanley Park. Beds not very comfortable. Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Walk from hotel along seawall to Aquatic centre and get small ferry boat to Granville island - lovely walk!
