This hotel is built into the face of a cliff!Cool!
Quiet and relaxing location, excellent place for a romantic honeymoon or romantic getaway.

The room rate was very economical for the room but if I had travelled with a female I think between the cold water showers and the a/c only being effective at night and in the morning, it may not have been quite as tolerated. It is all a matter of your expectations. The view and serenity was enough for me to make up for it's shortcomings. A few more staff speaking English would have been nice too.
Nightlife Tip:
If you are going to the nightlife, be aware that not much gets started until after 11:00 pm and doesn't finish until 4:00 or 6:00 am!! So be careful where you go and make sure you can either get a taxi to get back to the hotel or leave early enough to not get stranded. Most of the tourists here are Spanish speaking from other parts of Mexico so use good judgement when partying if thats your ambition.

Beautiful Ocean view!!
Amazing view and sunrises and sunsets second to none.

Not many employees habla english so you might want to bone up on a few functinal phrases before arriving. If you are looking for a fancy three, four or five star hotel here....you may want to reconsider.
Travel tip:
This hotel is in the older and traditional "Centro" area and so there is not much to see unless you take a cab but there are some decent restaurants not more than a 10 or 15 minute walk from the Hotel and suggest that if you wish to walk, the labor is more endurable going down the roads. Taxi your way home unless you are looking for a good workout climbing back. The street is very steep. The area was safe for walking tourists and although the media has not been kind to Acapulco in general with all the press about drug related violence, the practice of common sense is all that is necessary to ensure a safe and enjoyable time here. Violence can be found in any city anywhere in the world if one isn't careful where they wander. Take taxis at night, and don't travel solo! Twos or threes for men and preferably four's for women should add the margin of safety needed if you stay in the busier areas. The pizzeria in the tourist circle is an interesting spot with musicians playing while you eat and a lounge lizard singing classics at night. Very interesting!! Prices are also not too shocking. I had lasagna and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was.

We opted for this hotel because of price and location to the ocean and the cliff divers were viewed from the property at either the restaurant or bar. It was a two day stay while waiting for the condo we rented for the other five days to come available. As the saying goes: "you get what you pay for."
If you're up for adventure, there's a good chance you will add a page of notes to your travel journal by staying here.
