Couples United States of America, July 03, 2012	Just what you would expect from a 3 1/2 star location, beautiful beach and pool 7 Good location for Cancun -- near the big clubs and right on the beach. Taxi drivers all through Cancun, especially at the airport are horrible. If you want to travel around, or even have a group, rent a car. The Hyatt is one of about only 5 hotels in the area that is not an all inclusive. Whenever negotiating to buy something, including taxis, don't ask how much in US dollars, ask how much in Pesos. This will save you about 25%. Best to always pay in pesos also, for same reason. There are 2 buses that run up and down the strip. They cost 8.5 pesos, and they will give you change if you use small bills. To exit, go to rear of bus and press the stop button. Shopping Tip: Everything is over priced, don't buy anything here. Whatever you do buy, always pay in pesos and you will save about 25%.

It is near the nightlife area with many restaurants, the pool is good and it is beach front. Staff are nice and there is a tour desk at the lower level of this hotel.

Couples Indonesia, June 10, 2012	Good Hotel, Good Location Location, Beautiful Beach~ 6.7 We had to attend a wedding in Cancun but the resort where the hotel was held was too expensive and thus we picked this hotel! The lobby and rooms are clean but a little old... Our room is also clean, bed is hard but comfy, pillows are good. The bathroom is a little old but thankfully was cLean for its age! I noticed most shopping arcades and resorts in Cancun are dated so this hotel is really not bad! Remember this is Hyatt Regency and not Grand Hyatt so the hotel lacks that luxurious feel Grand Hyatt has. PROS: Good location (walkable to Starbucks, a shopping arcade, and Coco Bongo), Clean, decent service, and beautiful beach at the back of hotel CONS: Dated interiors, no free wi-fi or internet, staff are borderline rude...
