This hotel is situated on a beautiful beach in the hotel zone. Nice big rooms, friendly staff, good pool. Not too far away from town if you want to go to eat cheaply (the hotel food is nothing special and not cheap.) Far enough away from the party scene but if you want that it is a short walk away. Friendly staff and nice decor in the hotel. They have a bar in the lobby that serves a million types of tequila which is appropriate for Mexico! All in all a comfortable stay and a good value compared to other Intercontinental hotels.
Restaurant Tip:
Across the street from the hotel you can eat a cheap breakfast sandwich at the Torta place, and for lunch you can get delicious and very cheap ceviche tostadas at Los de Pescado restaurant. Real Mexican food and real Mexican (cheap) prices!

Good hotel in the Hotel Zone

We stayed here as we wanted something reasonable in the Hotel Zone. From the outside the hotel looks a bit old, but when we entered the room, it was very well designed. It was spacious and very clean. The check in was efficient and friendly. We went to the pool side which was big and the beach was filled with white sand. We walked to the commercial area as it was a good 5-10 minutes walk for good margarita and tacos. Overall, highly recommended.
