Location is somewhat out of the way, but clean

my stay at this hotel was very pleasant. the hotel has a convenient restaurant with extended hours. room service is available 24-7. guests are provided with items they may have forgotten, which is a plus. the choice of tv channels is somewhat limited, but they serve their purpose. the staff is very friendly and accommodating. i would recommend this hotel to others who are visiting guadalajara on business or pleasure even though it is a bit out of the way, but in a safe area.
Shopping Tip:
Plaza del Sol is only a block-and-a-half away.

My stay at this hotel was totally relaxing. I experienced difficulty with my room; I brought it to the staff's attention and I was moved to a different room immediately. The hotel restaurant has extended hours and the quality of the food is good. Room service is available 24-7.
Restaurant Tip:
A number of first class restaurants are located in the Mariano Otero area or its environs, including Los Arcos, which specializes in seafood. The service is second to none. Also located in the Mariano Otero area is a new restaurant called La Tequila; it specializes in fuzion Mexican food. The service and presentation are first class. Also located in this area is El Frances, a Mexican restaurant specializing in meats. The food is good, but the services is terrible.
