Location, price.

Restaurant food was average.

The hotel seemed to be well maintained, and the bathroom looked as though it had been recently renovated. All the flooring was laminate and tile - very clean! The hotel was walking distance to the Zona Rosa. All the hotel personnel that I dealt with (front reception, porter, restaurant server, maid) were very friendly and helpful. Although it is certainly not a 5 star hotel, the price I paid was extremely inexpesive for what I got.

Restaurant Tip : One of my favorite restaurants is Anderson's - about a block away from the Angel monument. Definitely worth a visit.

1) Right next to the Zona Rosa 2) Cheap 3) Clean and well-maintained 4) Friendly staff

1) The hot water was a bit squirrelly 2) The elevator was down for much of the afternoon and evening

Eept for the elevator (and a bellboy lugged my stuff up to the 4th floor, so it really wasn't THAT big a deal), I have no complaints -- nice place in nice area for short money.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Just bang a left out the front door, and two blocks later you're in the happenin' part of the Zona Rosa.

Cheap and good value. Good location- close to the Zona Rosa but not in the Zona Rosa so it is quieter. Very clean- housekeeping does a good job. Hardwood flooring. Good value restaurant. Subway, Reforma and Roma all within 5-10 minute walk. Front desk and bellhop very helpful and speaks English.

Towels need replacing- some had holes in them.

This is a very good value hotel located in a good location within walking distance to Roma, Reforma, and the subway stop. Although the Zona Rosa area is a little run down with lots of bars and fast food restaurants (McDonalds, Wendys, Burger King, Starbucks etc...) there are still lots of Mexican restaurants to choose from (but most are overpriced).

Restaurant Tip : If you turn left as you leave the hotel (towards the Zona Rosa), there is a 7-11 at the corner (for cheap drinks/water) and on the sidewalk in front, a stall selling fresh juices for 5 pesos and a clean taco stand selling 5 tacos for 20 pesos.

Spacious clean rooms with big comfortable beds, kind staff, free wi-fi, central position in Zona Rosa and only 10mins walk from the nearest metro station to Zocalo

Rooms that open to the main road a bit noisy

What a nice 3 star hotel! It feels like more stars. Would definitely stay here again but next time I'd choose a room at the back and not one of those that open to the main road (Calle Londres) as it is noisy.

Great deal, clean rooms, fresh new bottles of water in our room everyday, comfy and clean beds, nice clean bathroom with a great shower, very friendly and helpful staff. Perfect location around the Zona Rosa- a cute and safe neighborhood!

None! This place is the best!

This hotel was amazing. Perfectly central location! Fantastic room, clean, comfortable and safe, friendly and helpful people working at all hours, they help you get a taxi and help give you directions. Good food and great room service. This has got to be the best bang for your buck in Mexico. For how affordable it was, I was amazed at how wonderful it was! Unbeatable!! :)

Travel tip : Staying here, you will be within walking distance of the main train station, the Angel de Indepencia, the Zona Rosa (hip, young part of town,) snack shops and great shopping. Nightlife gets hopping around midnight-- and it's not just kept to the weekends. Mexico City is so much fun, and this hotel is the best value there could be!!

This hotel very cheap and the room not to bad. Its ok for stay just for some days. Also the place close with shopping mall, restaurant, and close with zona rosa.

The street is too dark, I think a little bit dangerous for foreigner. Also there are no air conditioner, just use fan.

This hotel very cheap and nice. the room not too bad, clean and nice. There are free internet connection and free water. Also this hotel very close with shopping mall and restaurant and with zona rosa. I recommend this hotel.

Restaurant Tip : close with zona rosa

Clean, comfortable, attractive, quiet, convenient, great rates.

No real problems. Not air-conditioned, if that matters to you. I loved this place.

I highly recommend this excellent hotel. The staff were cordial, the room was incredible for the low price I paid, comfortable and pleasantly-designed. The bedroom and bathroom were of good size; new hardwood floors, new furniture, comfortable bed, nice staff, excellent free wifi. Very close to Insurgentes metro, Colonia Roma, Zona Rosa. The restaurant didn't look very good, no one ever seemed to be eating there, and it was overpriced. There was fabulous street food right outside, and I had tacos and agua fresca every morning. There are many restaurants in area, including Vips (often convenient and comfortable for tourists) as well as many interesting fondas. There is a 7-11 on the corner for quick shopping. I had a good experience with efficient email communication with the Hotel before my trip. I'll definitely be back!

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Walk south across Chapultepec and explore the gorgeous, calm Colonia Roma, with parks, galleries, and restaurants.

Close to all activities, very clean and very friendly staff, very reliable management and all services needed

nothing wrong!

We spend about 12 days at this hotel during the months of january, february and march 2009. The accepted to keep for us luggages without any cost. It is very usefull to know that you can leave important things in security. I do not know many hotels that could do so and that way. They also have a convenient restaurant, a adequate taxi service, a good parking lot and a gentle staff. We recommend and the price is very good if we compare to others hotels in town.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : shopping, all activities

Good value for the price, large room, friendly staff.

The elevator is a bit noisy and can be heard in your room.

The hotel was a pleasant surprise. I had heard that the area (Zona Rosa) was a bit run-down and not entirely safe. I found it to be quite a lively neighbourhood, with a good choice of restaurants and the hotel is a 5 minute walk from the Insurgentes Metro station. The room was a good size, a large bed, a telephone, cable tv, free bottled water everyday and room service. The all-you-can-eat buffet breakfast was also a good deal at 70 pesos. The staff was friendly, relaxed and very helpful when asked for help. For a 3 star hotel this is a very well-run establishment. I would definitely stay again should I be in Mexico City. It is also gay friendly.

Shopping Tip : If you are interested in antiques there is an antiques mall down the street from the hotel (opposite side of the street in the direction of the Insurgentes metro) called Plaza San Angel. The prices are very high but it's worth a look.

Wonderful staff, close to the Metro Station, nearby shops and taco stand nearby.

Neighborhood and hotel can be somewhat noisy (dogs and street vendors), bring some earplugs. No room by room heat/AC control. Remember Mexico city is a temperate climate though so we were comfortable after we asked for an extra blanket. There was also a box fan in the room and the windows opened (no screens though). Also ask for extra pillows as the feather pillows were a little worn down.

We had a wonderful 12 day trip in Mexico city. The Del Principado staff helped make this a wonderful time. They were kind, helpful and really cared about their jobs and the work they were doing. The hotel was in a great location for us a short 10 minute walk to the Metro stop. The hotel was very clean, thanks to the diligent cleaning staff and the room looked exactly like it did on the website. The beds were comfortable, though the area could be noisy and it would have been difficult on some nights if we didn't have our earplugs. Most of the staff spoke some English. We only had the breakfast one morning, but it would have been a good way to start your day if you wanted to eat at the hotel. The dinner there was OK, but there are plenty of other nearby options that we explored and enjoyed more than the hotel food. We also had no trouble booking with Agoda (first time), though I'd recommend emailing the hotel ahead of time just to make sure that they got everything.

Hotel Feature Tip : Bring some earplugs (Hearos recommended) and pickup a 5 liter of water (for about $1) at the nearby Waldo's on Insurgentes. Ask for extra pillows and blankets if needed.
