This was a great location! It was a straight shot to downtown Atlanta, only about 6-8 minutes depending on traffic. The staff was WONDERFUL! They went out of their way to make sure that you had anything you needed....directions,comfort.
Renovations being done but was not a hinderance in any way. Not a grocery store anywhere near, only Target.
I really had a pleasant stay at Towneplace Suites Atlanta Buckhead. It was two blocks from I-85, which is the main gate to Downtown Atlanta and all of the sites that we were interested in. Only 20 minutes to Stone Mountain, 40 minutes to Chateau Elan Vineyard, where we did a tour of the vinyard and wine tasting.It was about 20 minutes on I-85 N to Jimmy Carter Blvd to Papa Deaux Restaurant, which had excellent service and delicious food. The hotel was clean and comfortable for the most part. The bed was a little on the firm side for my taste but slept well. Decor was tastful and up to date. I cannot say again how friendly and caring all of the staff is. The housekeeping would even come by in the afternoon to make sure we didn't need anything, since we had our Do Not Clean sign out in the morning.
