Julien Bar & Lounge
Considered to be one of the best hotel bars in Boston, the Julien Bar & Lounge is one of the city's most beautiful places to unwind. Originally the reception room for the governors of the Federal Reserve Bank, the room’s magnificent detail – carved doorways, gilded ceilings, and motif of corncob – serves as an elaborate reminder of the grand Renaissance Revival period. Two N.C. Wyeth murals, commissioned by the Bank’s governors in 1923, decorate the Julien Bar’s paneled walls. Directions from Logan Airport: Take route 1A South towards Boston through the Sumner Tunnel. Follow I-93 South to Exit 23 (Purchase Street). Stay to the right and follow signs for Financial District & Pearl Street. Take the first right onto Pearl Street. At the third set of traffic lights, turn right onto Milk Street. Take the first right onto Oliver Street. (For the self-parking garage, turn right at blue parking sign on Oliver St) At stop sign, turn right onto Franklin Street.
