large rooms
excellent location
helpful concierge
The hotel offered rather large rooms at a fair price. The pool area is small but clean and acceptable for a quick dip. Wireless Internet should be an amenity. The forst room we were given was the size of a shoebox witha view of a brick wall 10 feet away, for 3 family members no less. HOWEVER, upon request, we were moved to a decent room.

Reasonable rate, clean and comfortable room, parking. Close to the T (@ Prudential center.)
We booked our rooms last October through Agoda and got a great rate. 7 months later we checked in quickly. We found the staff extremely helpful and courteous. The room was clean and comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend the Midtown as a great place to stay with family and Agoda as your booking service.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Leave your car at the hotel. You are 2 blocks from the 'T' one of the best public transit systems I've ever used. It goes practically everywhere in Boston.

Convenience, low price, location, low cost parking
aging furniture, outmoded rooms
We've been staying at the Midtown for at least 20 years and we've always believed that we got good value for the money. The hotel is conveniently located in Back Bay. It's close to malls, the T, the Symphony, Back Bay Amtrak station and the MFA. They're all within easy walking distance. We usually drive and there is ample low cost parking underneath the hotel. Its a little hard to get into the spots sometimes, but if you park near the elevator you'll have a easier time getting to your room, at least the ones on the south side. The rooms are dated both in decor and amenities but you're not paying luxury prices so don't expect it. The staff are friendly and the rooms are clean.
Travel tip : Lots of things to see and do in Back Bay. Everything is close.

Great location. Friendly Staff. Located in Back Bay close to Newbury St. There are plenty of good restaurants and shopping within a few blocks. Parking is easy, but costs you $18/night. The room was clean, but very basic.
This is just a basic hotel/motel. There are not really any amenities to speak of. Our room did not have a refrigerator.
Overall, the Midtown hotel was a great value and a good place to stay in Boston. It's location makes it really easy to come and go and enjoy the area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The porter greeted us at the door and gave us brochures, and recommendations as well as information on how to plan activities through the hotel while we waited to check in. It's not the place to go if you are expecting a resort and plan to spend a lot of time at the hotel, but if you want a place to sleep in between exploring the city it's great. Adjoining rooms would be good for families.
Restaurant Tip : If you exit the hotel, turn left, and cross the street, there is a good Thai restaurant about 2 blocks down before Bank of America.

Great Location
Affordable Price
Our son is in college in Boston. We have stayed at several different hotels on various visits. We like trying something new, However we always seem to come back to the MidTown. It's value is exceptional... especially if you reserve way in advance. As occupancy increases, the price goes up. We have now stayed there on seven different visits and when the price is right we will go back again.
Travel tip : There are many restaurant within walking distance. we always go to B & G Oysters, The Metropolis, Legal Seafoods, Turner Seafood Co, The Atlantic Seafood Co., and Stephanies

Basic and honest with and absolutely sensational location. It seems like the sort of place that becomes a hip boutique hotel once the designers get in there.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Backbay area is right on your doorstep

the promotional price obtained Agoda (by far the best hotel value on Boston center late August 2009), its location (metro, restaurants and near downtown), the opportunity to take a shuttle to the airport to the hotel the trolley to visit the city to also stop, clean rooms and overall performance (coffee and coffee irons in the room, air conditioning, ice at will, pool, cash dispenser and beverage. ..)
a bit noisy, staff not always smiling, no breakfast
very good stay, Midtown is advisable for good value for money I had spent qq nights ago at the Westin Hotel in Providence most luxurious and there was no difference bcp (beware some double rooms have a bathroom more small and cramped). We stayed 4 days and this allowed us to visit Boston easily because everything is quickly accessible from the hotel
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you have little time (less than 3 days) and you want to have a quick and comprehensive overview of the city, a trolley bus stops outside the hotel and $ 33 (tickets on sale at the hotel) you will have a guided tour of all the main cruise along the sea along the Boston Harbor. It is very touristy and we accompanied a friend who stayed 1 day but it allowed us to target the corners to see details for further stay

Very close to the subway station
The subway station is just located near many restaurants for your convenience. The museum can be reached in Boston, partly for a walk. When you go to Boston is where we want to use.
