Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.
We want you to pay the lowest possible rate for your room. If you have reserved a hotel room through Agoda, and then show us that you could book the same room, for the same dates, at a lower rate, that is viewable and bookable on another website, within 48 hours of booking your room with us, we will either match that rate or beat it. Trouble with the HVAC - the room was cold most of the time we were there.
My wife and I were in town for a convention/business meeting; all of the other convention hotels had already been booked, so we took a chance on the Hotel Monaco and had a fantastic stay. The location is fantastic, on the north end of the Loop, within easy walking distance of the CTA and Metra (headed south, Millenium station - Ogilvie station, which heads north, is farther away and probably requires a cab ride). The staff were great - everyone was very polite, friendly, and courteous. The room was well-maintained and clean. The one problem we had was that the room thermostat was difficult to use, and it was a bit chilly. Otherwise, no complaints.
Shopping Tip : There is an artisanal wine/cheese/gourmet shop one block south ("Pastoral Artisan Cheese, Bread & Wine") which also makes very nice sandwiches for lunch.
