Classic hotel with great location

We had a very nice stay for 5 nights. It was a great location to access the beach, shopping and downtown Chicago sites. The hotel was older but has been updated and is very nice. We had no complaints and would stay there again.
Restaurant Tip:
Ditka's restaurant has a signature dish "the pork chop" which is great. Their bread rolls are also amazing. Sharing the dish was enough for both my wife and I.

the tremont was great - the front desk staff was always helpful. my problem is with the agoda website ... my confirmation screen said "includes all taxes and service fees" but when i checked out, they charged me additional tax -- and are not willing to make it right!

It was a pleasant stay at Tremont. It's around 5-10mins walk from Chicago-Red station, 3mins walk to Hershey's Chocolate Factory. It's situated directly downtown shopping area.
It would be be prefect if there is a fridge in the room.
Friendly staffs.
Overall, great hotel and will definitely stay again if we were to visit Chicago again!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
If you are driving, there is no free parking. As you know, parking fees in Chicago is very expensive compared to other cities. The cheapest "self-park" overnight parking costs $35 which is one block away from the hotel.
If this is your first trip to Chicago, do not miss the deep dish pizza (Pizza Uno and Due, the chicken wings are fantastic too!), chicago-style hotdogs and Calumet Fisheries which was recommended by Anthony Bourdain (if you are driving), famous for their smoked seafood!
Do visit the Chicago Premium outlets Mall in Aurora,40mins drive away from town. you will definitely walk out with bags of goodies.

nice. the queen guest room is not very roomy but nice enough. they don't have a fridge in the room but with the unbeatable deal on agoda, i can't really complain. the hotel building is old and i think the maintenance team is aware of that.
Travel tip:
Satrbucks just across from the hotel, Chicago Visitor's Center is a block or two away where you can get your public trqnsportation passes.

we were there with a group in seven rooms, most were on the same floor. after our first night, none of the rooms on that floor received any maid service. we had to go down to the desk to get clan towels.
had to go to first floor to get ice and bucket.
it's an old hotel, and well kept up. great sitting room near lobby with grand piano. great access to ditka's next door.
