Tremont Hotel Chicago (IL) Info
An elegant Tudor-style mansion built in 1928, this downtown hotel offers a unique Chicago experience in a spectacular location. The hotel is within walking distance of John Hancock Tower, the upscale shopping and restaurants of the Magnificent Mile, and glorious Lake Michigan and its beaches. The O'Hare International Airport is 20 miles away. There are many international dining options in the area, but guests that prefer to stay in can enjoy a hearty American meal at Mike Ditka's and follow it up with a few cocktails in the sophisticated bar. After a long day of shopping indulge in an in-room massage treatment and be treated like royalty. The Tremont Hotel is perfect for visitors that want to experience Chicago a little differently.

Excellent location, good price, spacious and pleasant facility
Should place two computers in the lobby for free internet utilization by the guests.
The charges for calls from the room to USA destinations is exagerated high ($10 per call).
It is a "boutique" hotel with a nice old style lobby. The room at the 14th floor was spacious and had all you needed for a pleasant stay.
The breakfast is fast-American style self service, served in the adiacent restaurant which is known for its meat menu served at lunch and dinner
Nearby there is an Internet Cafe where for a coffee for $1 you may spend ~30 min on the computer.
Located two minutes from Michigan and Rush/ Wallbash
Travel tip : Everything which is nearby is of the best Chicago
Comming by train from the airport (ORD) change at the Loop for the red line and go down at Chicago.
In 5 minutes walking you are at the hotel

I had a great time in this hotel, nice staff, room is clean
need to improve on the light since 2 lights in my room are not working
The hotel location is great, close to shopping, public transportation, I will stay there again for next trip to Chicago.

courteous staff
wireless internet
The Tremont Hotel is a great value for the location in downtown Chicago. The rooms are spacious and the heat and wireless internet work well, but the furnishings are quite outdated, including the poor quality old televisions. The staff are very friendly, but there are not many extras -- the maid service is poor and I don't think you could send a package from the front desk. Overall not fancy but a great value!
