Great location and newly remodeled
Walk everywhere, newly remodeled hotel, beach at back of hotel,friendly efficient service

Centrally located on the main drag with easy access to shops and restaurants and the only beach in town, convenience is the biggest plus. The hotel has recently been refurbished from the ground up and it feels new. Huge lobby area with interesting exhibits of the history of hawaii and King Kamehameha. You have to pay $15 a day for parking.

We booked a partial ocean view room and had nearly had to stand on the balcony to see the sea.I would confirm the location of your room (if possible) before booking or check in. Overall it was a great place to stay.
Hotel Feature Tip:
The hotel Concierge always seemed to be on a break. You may have better luck planning and booking your own outings.

Good location, but rooms require more refinement
It is located very near to the city centre, and there is free wifi provided for.

breakfast is served from 0630 to 0930, and consists of sausages, scrambled eggs and toast. the hotel is just down the street from the dfs galleria, and about 10 minutes' walk to waikiki beach.
however, overnight parking is very expensive (24 usd), and one can find free parking along the canal beside the hotel, or park at the public carparks which cost about 10 dollars for overnight parking.
Restaurant Tip:
Morimoto's at the Modern Honolulu serves very good Japanese-Hawaiian fusion cuisine.
