Quiet hotel with big airey rooms
spacious rooms and quiet location

hotel very quiet but rooms were large and clean. quiet resort that seemed to have been popular once but not so much anymore.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Spend a full day exploring the volcano national park

great view, wonderful service
the hotel allowed us to check in at 7am, and gave us a 6th floor room with a nice view of the harbor

the service was nice. the bathroom had been redone and was quite nice. the elevators matched the room furniture in a light wood style. the hotel is on banyan drive, where a lot of other hotels are found, and could conceivably be used without a car.
Restaurant Tip:
Ken's house of pancakes is at the main stop light at the entrance of Banyan drive, and a great place to start the day.

The room was clean. It seemed that all rooms have at least a partial ocean view. Not too much interaction with the staff.
