One of America’s best swimming beaches, the calm Poipu Beach, lies a mile west of the hotel, making it great for day trips. Its S-shaped lower loop is protected by a man-made reef and the upper loop offers surfing/boogie boarding. In between, there's great snorkeling among lava rocks around a small sand islet and to the east is Shipwreck Beach for beach walking. On-site facilities include a party room and pool.
