The Mau'i Seaside is not a fancy place, but the location is very convenient to the airport, shopping, and good restaurants. The helpful staff gave good recommendations to tasty (and cheaper than the other side of the island) restaurants nearby. Breakfast (if included) at the attached restaurant gave only three choices, but has many other options one its regular menu - I recommend anything needing coconut syrup. I found the hairdryer, oddly, in a drawer under TV stand. The property looks a little old, but don't let that scare you off.

The hotel is located near the water, but there is no beach access and it is located in on of the very few areas of the island that is really not very scenic. The best aspect of the location is that it is very near the airport, though taxi drivers are generally not thrilled about the short fare and there is no direct hotel shuttle.
The rooms themselves are clean and serviceable, though the building itself is somewhat older. The staff are very friendly and nice. While the restaurant attached to the hotel is not fantastic, the breakfast portions are quite generous.

This is a low budget hotel located approximately 10 - 15 minutes from the airport. The room had small sugar ants in the bathroom. The TV was very small and they charged $5/day for parking. The room had free wireless service.
Restaurant Tip:
We enjoyed Dragon Dragon (chinese resturant) and Thai Cuisine (Thai resturant) located in the nearby mall. Expect to pay about $20/person.
